Residence Inn San Ramon - Hotel in San Ramon - 1071 Market Pl, USA

A great place to stay that much exceeded my expectations. We came to San Ramon just to visit our aunt for a couple of days before driving back to San Francisco. I give it 5 Stars because of the "overall value" and not because it was luxurious (it won't be luxurious as more a basic hotel). Our 2 bedroom was nicely spaced and clean. Having a pool and hot tub is so nice. Sleep is always an important factor and I would say the mattress was one of the very best every stayed - better than the fancy and expensive Atlantis Bahamas or even Bellagio (of course I love those places for other reasons - just commenting solely about the mattress) and after spending all flying to San Francisco having such a comfortable bed (above the norm) was just a bonus. The complimentary breakfast blew me away for such a small/non-luxury hotel. Wide selection of hot foods, including a welf serve waffle station and cereal with fruits/compotes to choose from. Coffee good too. And I have to give a compliment to the lady that manages breakfast - she was very helpful, had a new container of coffee just as the last drops were taken by person in front of me and was a "busy bee" (in a good way). I can feel she highly appreciated her job by showing how well she kept the breakfast room clean and food items well stocked. Furthermore, and this has nothing todo with the hotel itself, is the great location. Across the street is a TraderJoe's (I love that place) so got some nice snacks for the stay) and a number of small restaurants of many cuisines. We came to visit our aunt with not much expectations for San Ramon or the hotel so staying here has made the experience (I will add that scenery and hiking trails are nice around San Ramon too) much better than expected.

The room is big and equipped you have big fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and bed sofa. But, the service is below expectations i stayed a month and my room only cleaned 3 times and I have to ask for the housekeeping to clean it. They only clean the room once a week and provide fresh towels every two days. I like the hotel and facilities, unfortunately the services must be better as you find better hotel with this rates $200+ per night. Also, the parking is not free.

Regret.... WOW. I booked this room on a whim. I live in San Francisco and just needed to clear my mind so I drove up to San Ramon looking for a last minute stay. I should have believed Manuel when he made a face after asking if the rooms were nice. I walked into my room and it smelled stale like no one had been here in months. It was dingy and very out dated looking. I keep my own supplies - so that would have been ok if that were the end of the issues. The room was dirty, un- managed and 300.00 a night. The sheets has a yellow stain, the table had a sticky stain, the toilet broke twice in two days (didn't flush properly when I arrived) the dishes dirty and no dish soap or sponge which is supposed to be included with a kitchenette. Every-time i called to the front I was matched with an excuse about it being late or short staffed. Once I was told an engineer would be sent over to fix the toilet only to have this older women with a plunger splash toilet water all over the place. Ladies, I had to do my makeup in the car ( no full body or up close mirror). For 900.00 for 3 stays I expected better than motel 6 quality. No house keeping, horrible service, will not return and will be reporting for sanitary concerns. Lastly, I have AT&T on one phone and Verizon on another there is no cellular service. That's okay except the wifi here is horrible with no option to upgrade. Just please stay somewhere elseeeeee.

The room was very clean, comfortable bed. The sofa bed not so comfortable as stated by my son who slept in it. The kitchen was very clean. Will definitely stay again. Nice shopping area nearby.

Positive: Spacious rooms and more than you would get in a regular hotel. Free breakfast is always great Full kitchen which is amazing to have. Negative: Parking fees are unnecessary, and include them in the cost of the room for one car per room. As soon as checking in, fire alarms sounded twice! If it had happened once more, I would have left! (2x False Alarms) Negative: ""

Very meh. Had a ground floor room and felt like I was in a fish bowl. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open, the room wasn't very cozy, there was a smell when I walked in, and it all felt old. I had to keep the TV on all night to feel like I wasn't sleeping in the parking lot. It was a very big studio with a full kitchen, so I appreciated having the fridge and freezer.

Very interesting setup. Clearly previously apartments that were renovated into a residence inn. Dated but fine
