Customer service was fantastic. Requested extra towels and bedding through the Bonvoy app and they were there when we arrived to our room. ||The room had a loft bedroom and separate bathroom allowing privacy and alone time for our offspring. ||Clean and spacious. Not super fancy but great for families!
Stayed for 3 nights for a wedding in the area. They accommodated our request to have 4 rooms on the same floor. Staff at check in and out were very friendly. When they saw we were hanging out in the common area early Friday evening they changed the TVs to the NHL playoffs because they noticed we were fans. Breakfast on the weekend mornings were very busy. Get there early to get a table. We found the food to be adequate, typical. Room was good size, bed comfortable and overall we found it quiet at night. Our room was far from the elevator which we preferred. Would stay here again if in the area.
Most terrible experiences ever: We booked a two-room suite (penthouse) this Sunday for three weeks, only to discover it was not actually "two rooms" but rather one room with a second-floor, half-open loft accessed by steep stairs. On Monday morning, my husband approached the front desk to request to change to two standard separate rooms and was informed that all rooms were booked due to Google meetings. We were told we could change rooms on Thursday, with the rates split accordingly after the Google attendees checked out.( no increase in rates!)
We agreed and waited until Thursday morning. We packed everything in the morning. And at 9 AM, I called the front desk to follow up on changing rooms, the lady said she’ll talk to the manager but then I received no updates. I called again at 4 PM to ask for the room changes. At this point, we were suddenly informed that they could not honor the previously communicated rates on Monday. What’s worse, If we wanted to change rooms, we would be charged for both the penthouse for Thursday night and the two separate rooms at a higher rate!
I am dismayed by the chaos and inconsistency in communication by Residence Inn. Had we been aware of the rate change on Monday, we would have opted to move to a different hotel immediately. This lack of transparency is completely unacceptable. And nobody even apologized to us about this dishonesty.
Great clean & large rooms. Convenient for a stay. We stayed there on our way to SF for one night. Great value for money
Good option near downtown Mountain View. You can easily walk to a few places for dinner and it’s across the street from a Walgreens and small shopping center. The hotel is pet friendly with a few areas of grass. If you’re visiting and want to let your dog run more, I would recommend walking over to Eagle Park. It’s close and has off leash dog hours in the morning. I stayed at this hotel before moving to a new apartment. I was upgraded to a loft style room which was spacious. It’s an older property, but the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again. There is also an outdoor seating area but I didn’t stay there for long because other guests were smoking out there.
There are bad hotels and then there is this disgrace. I am completely grossed out that I have to spend two nights here. They are charging $750 a night for what would barely pass as a $150 a night room. As a female traveler I do not feel safe here at all. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place does not deserve the Marriott brand.
Nice 😆 locality and close to mountain view downtown and my office. I loved the place, especially the way it's designed. Whereas my friends don't like it as it's two stories condos kind of architecture. Very convenient, though somehow I don't like the breakfast area and breakfast options as it's repetitive. Same menu all 365 days, people need change 🤟
I’m not a huge fan of Residence Inns because the accommodations can sometimes feel a little too “lived in” and there’s more of a motel vibe to them plus I hate having to walk to the main building for breakfast. Based on other reviews I think I might have gotten lucky with my room. It seems we stayed in a newly constructed building in the back corner. Rooms were updated and clean and the furnishings were starkly different (in a good way) than the main lobby which leads me to believe it was new. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location was fine. Plenty of parking though it came with a fee which we didn’t know about but we were only here for a night so it wasn’t a big deal.
