The workers here are unbelievably friendly and helpful. The Manager Kala (I'm probably not spelling it right) was the best. I appreciate your attention to helping the guest. The front desk personal are always welcoming and prompt. To Al and all of the ladies who serviced the rooms, you guys are awesome. My only concern was that the rooms I received did not get cold enough for me. Everything else was fine as usual. I will be back. Thanks again guys.

This is the last time EVER that I book a room at a Residence Inn. The staff was not interested in their guests - to even say good morning back when guests greets you on their way to breakfast was asked too much. The room (number 119) smelled of urine, furniture and carpet were torn, there was mold in the bathroom and the sofa was simply crap. |The room is for disabled people. It is certain someone had a little accident or a few more. At check-out I told staff to deep clean the room for the urine smell to start with. If you book and you are appointed room # 119 do ask to have a look before you accept. This room for over $ 200,00 a night was totally unacceptable. |I was not in the mood to ask for a refund because my family had a good time at several places in Memphis - outside the room. To make a fuzz would spoil that.

The sad thing about this review is it’s pretty much the same as all of the other reviews. What’s even more sad, is that the “owner” replies are all the same and as we can see from the reviews, takes no action. I have traveled for business for 15 years. And this is one of the least favorable Marriott properties that I have stayed in. The good: it’s close to the airport and the front desk when I arrived were friendly. That’s it. Honestly, I’m not sure why I returned. I stayed here last week with the same experience. AC barely blows, room is muggy and smells of mold. Both stays there was hair in the tub. As mentioned it’s cooler in the main hallways than in the rooms. I don’t want to have to go through the trouble of packing back up and moving after a long day, but if had been given the opportunity to cancel, I would have. Yes the hotel is outdated and needs restoration, but sometimes that can be overlooked if the hotel is properly cleaned and maintained. The saving grace for this establishment is the location, otherwise it would lose business fast! I say this all the time, leadership and ownership need to stay at their properties as guests with no privileges to experience what a guest would experience. Furthermore, quarterly ALL rooms should be gone through for maintenance and other issues. Will not stay here again.

-----|-----||Great Staff, Room, & Breakfast||- - - - - - - -||March, 2024 Visit||- - - |||We visited Santa Rosa Beach for spring break, in March, 2024.||We initially planned to drive straight through, on Sunday; then late Friday we realized that and breaking the drive into two days and leaving on Saturday would be nicer, so that’s what we did.||We left home a little later than planned on Saturday night, and arrived in Memphis / Southaven later than we figured, ~ 1:45am. We were tired and happy to be there, for it was bed time… and as we got situated in our room, the clock changed for daylight saving’s time and we saw, for the first time ever, the clocks on our phones change from 1:59am to 3:00am…||… and that quick arrival + check-in was possible (15 min from lobby to in bed) was thanks to Kadarius' friendly and speedy help checking us in.||The Residence Inn is located with three other Marriott hotels / properties / brands, all on the same street, aptly named… Sleepy Hollow… hats off to all who made this street name possible! :)||In the morning, we slept in enough to still get downstairs for a nice breakfast. While the dog and I enjoyed a morning walk, my wonderful wife made me a plate of biscuits and gravy - so nice!||This Residence Inn is similar to so many others, for the style, room, food. ||The on-site team makes the difference… Ruth, Danielle, Kadarius and the rest of the staff are welcoming and helpful and they run a tight property.||We’re glad we stayed here. My stay here was not well . I generally stay at a Residence Inn when I’m travelling be it business or pleasure. I will no longer book this location for my stay. After a 10 hour flight and checking in was around 11 pm the door was locked the clerk yelled through door was I checking in…..25 degree weather….after getting checked in the room was decent but outdated . The bathroom had mold all around the shower and tub and bathroom door. I informed the front desk clerk and was told housekeeping would come. Long story short it was a maintenance issue. I left to return to a new room only to be given keys to the same room. Apologies were made and I was moved to another room with minor issues as well. The heat took 4 hours to warm room as well as the light on stove was out . Breakfast was basic without many options and complimentary bottle water is only for “members “ upon checkin. After that you must purchase from market. I am an ambassador elite member and live 90% of the year in a Residence Inn from state to state. This was the first time bottle water wasn’t offered to me. I generally don’t do reviews but I felt this was one I needed to.

Only good thing about this Residence Inn was the location, it was close to the venue we were attending a concert at. First night room had mold in it, we told the front desk and they sent housekeeping, not maintenance, HOUSEKEEPING…they told us they would move us to a new room when it was ready, so we went to get something to eat. We returned to get a new room and they tried to put us in the same room that had the mold in it. The front receptionist has no idea what she’s doing and was very nonchalant about handling our problems. The heaters in the rooms take an hour to warm up. Overall just a bad experience at a hotel where my wife and I are Ambassador Elite members, I would not recommend staying here…

The good and the bad. We got off the road after a ten hour drive around 8 pm. The front door was locked and the young woman working the front desk seemed bothered that anyone would want to check in. I had checked in online and requested a mobile key about 10 hours in advance but no one had processed it making it necessary to stop at the desk. We used a suite night award for an upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite and the room was large enough for 3 kids and 2 adults to have comfortable space for a quick overnight on a road trip. Kitchen had everything we needed and there’s lots of decent food options close by. The area is busy but seemed reasonably safe. Slept well despite significant road noise from the highway. Breakfast was fine, just tired, like they made little effort. The room itself is severely outdated. The carpet was torn up in several spots exposing the floor. The fridge looked like someone took a hammer to the door. The vent in the main living room has visible mold above it. The room we stayed in needs an update or some real TLC, paint, new carpet, mold mitigation, etc. Could be a great hotel with a convenient location if it was better taken care of. Titanium member, 166 nights stayed this year.

I've stayed at this property for years, but won't stay there again. It's going downhill every year. The staff are very polite, but we had several problems. They don't replace things that are stolen and are stingy with towels, tissue paper, soap, and other things. The two-bedroom suite that we had was the worst room I've ever had at a Residence Inn. The refrigerator looked like someone had hit it with a sledgehammer. My daughter found a plastic fork in her bed. When we stayed there a month earlier, we had found several hairs on the bed (that looked like someone had cut a small child's hair). The living room window had curtains, but no sunshade. When I asked for extra towels, I was told to get them at the front desk from a housekeeper in the hallway. I had to buy my own tissue paper because they didn't leave replacement rolls in the bathrooms even though we were there for 5 days. The most hazardous problem concerned the sliding door on the bedroom closet. It had one door but was supposed to have two. It had jagged glass at the bottom and was a safety hazard for people with small children or pets. They gave us a discount, but when we stayed there a month earlier, it wasn't any better. The carpet was dirty and frayed in our room. Also, the strangest thing we noticed was the fact that one of the bins in the refrigerator had been glued shut. We couldn't open it when we were trying to put things in the refrigerator. It's like they're trying to run themselves out of business.
