I had the pleasure of interacting with Isabella at the front desk, and I wanted to commend her for her exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, Isabella greeted me with a warm smile and a welcoming attitude. She was professional, efficient, and incredibly helpful in addressing my needs.
Isabella went above and beyond to ensure my experience was smooth and pleasant. She handled my check-in process quickly, provided clear and accurate information, and even offered great recommendations for local dining and attractions. Her attention to detail and willingness to assist with any questions or concerns were truly impressive.
It's clear that Isabella is dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Her friendly demeanor and proactive approach made my stay much more enjoyable. I highly recommend her for any future guests, and I appreciate her hard work and commitment to making each guest's experience special.
Thank you, Isabella, for your outstanding service!
The staff was fantastic and breakfast didn't disappoint. The pool is small but perfect to have to yourself along with your partner. The location is decent and not too loud. The room was not great. We had a king-size suite and the bed wasn't bad, but you couldn't adjust the ac, streaming to the TV was limited and unreliable, you couldn't use the tub/shower without out both the faucet and shower head being on (not one or the other), the know to turn the ice maker on was missing, and the bathroom light took a while to come on. We came for the pool so we weren't too disappointed in our stay.
I struggle with how to truly rate this hotel. It’s in a decent area, close to shopping, restaurants, Walmart, etc. It looks nice from the outside and staff was okay enough to deal with.
But the room we had was in major need of repair/updates. The pull out sofa was missing several support pieces/springs and the bottom of the mattress had no support. On top of that the sofa mattress itself was disgusting with a large stain at the bottom and the hem completely ripped off. The king bed was okay/clean but not comfy at all. There was only 1 side table in the bedroom. The dresser drawer would not close completely when you opened it. Our bathroom sink would not drain. When you washed your hands it would fill up faster than you could rinse them. There was only hot water in the kitchen sink. The faucets in both the bathroom and the kitchen leaked when they were on (onto the counter). But when our bathroom drain completely quit draining the maintenance gentleman responded quickly and used a plunger to open it back up. It did continue to drain very very slowly, but it was better than it had been. And the toilet ran for what felt like forever when flushed.
I had my kids wear their shoes anytime they were walking around the room, the tile floors were greasy feeling and the carpet didn’t look much better.
Breakfast was basic. No waffles. No counter space to make a plate. Small dining area as well.
We’ve been on a 2 week vacation from Oklahoma to the beach in Florida and then ended our trip with a few day in Lafayette , sadly our hotel was a disappointment.
Wasn’t too happy to see a dog in the breakfast room. Some people are unfortunately allergic to animals as I am. Dogs. Do not belong in the breakfast room during meal time. Also, after staying here years ago, hotel needs a refurbished. My bed was extremely soft and carpet worn. Otherwise, good location.
They failed to remove the trash from the prior hotel guest. I was traveling with a child. There could have been used condoms or tampons or anything in the trash. Makes you concerned for what else they didn't do. Please beware if you stay here and do a thorough walk through of your room. Honeslty, I would avoid staying here if at all possible.
The king mattress in our daughter's room was terrible. They flipped it for us which helped minimally. The in room coffee makers are those terrible one shot deals. We ended up using a keurig we brought from home
I will try to be as unbiased as possible. It was only 5 days ago that I was in a newly constructed Residence Inn in a major city. Overall, Residence Inn Lafayette Airport was a really good stay. ||Pros: This place is extremely clean. The cleaning staff goes out of their way to make sure this place is clean from top to bottom. It has that fresh, clean aroma all throughout the property. The entire room was spotless upon arrival. ||Additionally, the front desk staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They are very quick to respond to messages sent via the chat function in the Bonvoy app. I regret not getting the name of the agent that checked us in, but she was extremely helpful in suggesting local cuisine. Feezo's is now my new favorite restaurant for chargrilled oysters. ||Cons: The rooms are really dated and shows plenty of wear and tear. More specifically, the mattress was in pretty bad shape. It had hills and valleys from head to toe and was NOT comfortable. I'm almost certain it's an original mattress from the opening of the property. Same goes for the couch. It was NOT comfortable at all. The pillows and cushions were in very bad shape. Mind you, these items were very clean, but old and worn out. ||The tv's are also dated. They are really small, probably Gen1 plasma, 24 inches. The channel lineup was impressive, however. I haven't seen that many channels in a hotel in a while. ||In conclusion, it was a good stay. I was more impressed with the cleanliness than the actual room. Breakfast was ok... food was good, but there was no cheese at all. I haven't decided if I will stay here again in the future as I am accustomed to a more updated hotel atmosphere.
A somewhat dated hotel, but still good. The reception staff was extremely helpful in finding Cajun Crawdad Restaurants...
