Local to the area who was affected by Hurricane Beryl. Stay started out well with easy check-in, acknowledged as Titanium member and provided room upgrade. Went downhill from there. Hotel has soiled carpeting and is in much need of a makeover. There was no cart available, so I had to go back and forth checking up. Had to contact IT a couple of times to get onto the internet server. Later in the day noticed a large roach, but lots of raining so I looked over it. The next day bought a few groceries which consisted of fruit and vegetables which were on the counter overnight. Woke up to tons of roaches on my groceries and my laptop. Asked to be moved and was told the room would be ready in a couple of hours. Again, no cart so I waited until they had one to make it easier for me as I am working from the room. New room has ketchup stains on the wall and the toilet does flush properly so I leave. Spoke to the General Manager and was told she would see what she could do to refund my groceries and points used for the stay. She only refunded the portion of the points that had gone unused and nothing for the groceries.
Never again. If you are the type of person who reads reviews for hotels then this is probably not the place for you. The bathroom lock didn’t work, the 1900s iron spit out black gunk onto my husband’s white dress shirt and the room definitely was not cleaned by Marriott standards.
8 day/9 night stay. Positives: front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. First night there - police called to disperse a pool party. Rooms smelled of an old odor. Day 2 - Killed a roach in the hallway. Very loud on the second floor with constant traffic at all times of night. Smelled like weed regularly throughout the day and night. I asked a staff member why was there so much activity. He asked for anonymity but said it was the “FEMA” people. Just not a place I would take my kids back to. Plus, the rooms were in really bad, old condition.
Great value for the price. Check in was a breeze. Front desk employee was very polite and made us feel very welcome. Room was clean and we had no issues. Highly recommend.
The service was quite extraordinary. We had a slight issue with our first room, and we told them about it, and immediately we got an upgraded room. Breakfast is not that great. More pork than anything else. The manager and the staff are great. Pictures are of room 213.
We had no issues with this hotel. The room was nice and the service was great. The breakfast was also pretty good with lots of choices.
This is a quiet, hotel with well equipped kitchens. Rooms are spacious , beds comfortable, breakfast is delicious, and the staff is pleasant and helpful. If you want to use the kitchen instead of having to eat out, it is a great place to stay. It had everything we needed to make all our meals.
We got the suite for the Summer Shredding tournament and from the get go - customer service was top notch. We wanted to book an earlier day where the group rate was only for the weekend and they accommodated us with zero hassle. The room was great. We had a full kitchen and full refrigerator which made the bodybuilding competition much easier to do. The rooms were clean and spacious. Fresh coffee every morning and a full breakfast which I didn't eat obviously competing but the bed was comfortable, and the shower ran hot as long as you wanted it. Our TV in the living room initially had no signal and I had to do was text the front desk from the app and within 20 minutes they had technicians out and had it fixed. We stayed for 2 nights and I would highly recommend.
