Residence Inn Decatur Emory Area - Hotel in Decatur - 2754 N Decatur Rd, USA

My husband and I, along with our two children are currently staying at this hotel. Upon arrival, as we always do, we requested 4 extra pillows because my husband has a bad back (disabled veteran) and sleeps upright. When the kids went to pull the sofa bed out to get ready for bed, we discovered there were no linens or pillows for the pullout sofa. I called the front desk and we were instructed we had to come downstairs to the front desk ourselves to get them. My husband went to retrieve them (poor customer service) and then we find out there are NO EXTRA PILLOWS in the ENTIRE hotel. Apparently, the 4 pillows my husband received earlier was a HUGE problem since the girl at the front desk argued with me about relentlessly (even hanging up). It seems there is a pillow limit per room even though we didn't have the ones that should have been in here for the sofa bed. Then she says there are only 4 empty rooms in the hotel (which is a lie... the hotel is a ghost town) and that she doesn't have access nor authorization to go in those unoccupied rooms and that they need to save the pillows in case someone books (it's after 11pm at this point). WORST MARRIOTT experience EVER! We just stayed at one in Charlotte last weekend and they had no problem supplying the needed pillows for my husband. SIDENOTE: We were informed by the front desk staff that this is NOT actually a Marriott owned property and that this hotel is privately owned. So "BUYER BEWARE"!!! You absolutely DO NOT get the same quality of service that you would expect from Marriott.

We often stay at residence-style hotels while traveling on business or vacation, and I think this is my favorite. The staff is engaged, polite, helpful, and efficient. I had a mix-up with a delivery, and Laurie [sp?] at the front desk worked everything out for me. The facility is clean, modern, and well-equipped. The complimentary breakfast is a step above other similar hotels, and the serving staff is excellent.

The staff was very nice, all of them. People (guests were as well). We were close to CVS, so it was convenient to get we needed, at anytime. The breakfast was great as well. The staff came to your room and delivered what ever you cal the front for. They didn’t take all day to deliver items. The only two they could improve on is. One there is NO pool at this location. This would have completed a wonderful stay. Second issue is when I got ready to take a shower, there was hair everywhere. All on the show walls, on the shower floor, on the toilet, and in the towels. Of course that was disgusting. I mean every nook and cranny of the shower. In between the complementary body essentials bottles , that are mounted on the shower walls. So, that’s the experience I had.

Lovely, peaceful. Dim lighting around the bathroom mirror. Breakfast was wonderful (egg white fratatta, jalapeño muffins, fluffy eggs, etc.), Staff was accommodating, friendly, and efficient. The 1812 Bar made me a delightful drink that I sipped while lounging at the patio. The hotel lobby looked and smelled amazing. It was wonderful!

The staff here are excellent, helpful and kind. The rooms are kept very clean, they are spacious and well maintained. This is one of the best hotel/in experiences I've had. Greatly appreciate everyone who works here from the housekeeping staff, to the chefs and maintenance team.

I stayed here while working in the area, very nice place! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms are nice and clean, spacious. Love that it has a full kitchen. I stayed in a king studio suite. It has a parking garage, elevator goes directly to it which was nice. Only negative with location is the entrance is a little confusing, when you pull in it’s a one way entrance and only one entrance in/out of the parking garage, but no big deal.

Please be very careful where you parking at this property . Several cars were broken into and one stolen this morning. My car was one of them and the security camera directly of my car and the others broken into .Police were call out filed a report. Hotel did absolutely nothing. A manager was not on duty and even when called the manager refused to come in to the hotel to help with accommodating guests . I was in town for a family reunion that was only 3 days. I missed today and will miss the second day due to my vehicle needing to be cleaned of glass, window replacement and items being stolen and the motor for my window not working due to class inside it. Drove all the way from Virginia for this mess. They wouldn’t even take the parking fee off my bill. Don’t leave your vehicle at this location it’s not safe

They front desk staff is very friendly and respectful. They are very knowledgeable and help with all of your needs. The breakfast attendants are just delightful. Rooms are very comfortable and clean.
