We stayed here for a short 5 day/4 night vacation. We had our two older small dogs with us and they welcomed pets but at a price…$100 none refundable deposit plus $25 dollars per day per pet fee…plus they charged $15 per night to park!!!!?? First place like this I have ever stayed that charged for parking to stay in their motel!! First of all, we were put in a pet friendly room so that I understand, but to charge $100 non refundable deposit /cleaning fee and the whole room to smell like someone else’s animals doesn’t seem right!! Our dogs weight 7 pounds each and you would Have never known they were there! I do have to say the complimentary breakfast was one of the best we have eaten at a motel and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was somewhat teas on able and decently appointed! Only complaint about the room itself was the flat pillows!! The pillows were shot!! Overall we had a good week here but they need to do some better cleaning and updating some things like pillows and beds!! Recommended for pet owners but be prepared to walk dogs somewhere else as they only provide a dog bathroom spot about 10x 10 in size unless your dog will go in mulch!!

Checked in on Tuesday, 6/4. We (2 adults, one kid) stayed one night and had a great time. It wasn't too crowded for June, the parking lot had enough parking. We've stayed here before and sometimes it can be hard to find spots during peak times. We stayed in a suite with two queen beds and a full kitchen. The size of the room was really nice. The kid that was with us slept on the pull out couch and it was good enough. It's definitely on the verge of needing a replacement soon though. But for one night, it worked great. However, there were some things about the hotel that I didn't enjoy. I find it so frustrating that the pool and spa are only open during the day. I don't know if it was a temporary thing because they did seem to be doing some work on the fountain and back wall of the pool. But they could at least keep it open until 10-11 pm which is a common time for hotel pools to close. The other issue is the lack of a gate to the parking lot from the pool. There is one, but it doesn't open to prevent non-guests from entering the pool area. I appreciate their efforts to keep the pool free of unregistered guests, but why not just make it so guests can use their keycard to enter the pool? Or have people use wristbands so that they know that you're a guest. It's not very efficient for the people who want to access the parking lot from the pool area, like if they want put their beach gear in their car. It's not a big deal obviously but it would make things easier, especially since it would mean not having to walk through the lobby just to get to your car. Overall, this is a good family hotel. The breakfast was really good and had a lot of options. The location is great and the views are amazing. I just think there needs to be some updates.

All the reviews about this hotel from the past couple of months are all very outdated. This hotel has been renovated and has new management. I stayed here for a whole week, and it went amazing. Staff were very friendly, especially Mrs. Rain and Mrs. Arie. This pool is fine it's just that it's warm, and people use it for a bathroom, so just be aware. The free breakfast they have is amazing, really saves somebody money if you're not willing to spend on restaurants. Although it does it full, it's worth the wait. The rooms are cleaned to its fullest, the housekeeping employee Mrs. Camila is very nice. The only problem with the rooms is the A/C. It has trouble with changing the temperature, but it will eventually "cool" the room. The beach access is very nice it's literally just a couple of steps away, which is a timesaver. Any bad reviews you see are either old or have had different experiences. This is my opinion and it's up to you to decide on how you'll take it.

Honestly thought we would give Marriott a try since we had some iffy hotels before on our trip. The room was disgusting and you pay way too much! I honestly was appalled at how run down our room was. When you walk into the hotel it’s great! Beautiful upkeep and updates. Very misleading!! We will not be staying again!

I don't like to leave bad reviews. However, this hotel was the absolute worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. It began at check in with an additional $20 charge to park your car in the open air parking lot. After check in went into the room kitchen which had the stickiest floor. I went to use the bathroom where the toilet did not stop running so I had to lift the lid and place the plug in to stop it from running. Then to the sink to wash my hands where the sink stopper was stuck down filling up the sink with water. The couch was completely stained and ripped. I didn't even want to sit on it. Then opened curtains to see what was described as partial ocean view. The 2x2 miniature balcony had paint peeling off of the railing. Sitting in the chair all you could see was the roof top the ocean view was standing only. The hallway flooded so they turned out water off without any notice. I tried calling the front desk but the phone didn't seem to work either. Then when the water was turned back on it was cold I had no hot water. I have stayed at over 100 Marriotts over the years, this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. Marriott should be ashamed of this run down property. Save yourself money, time and aggravation don't stay at this property.

I normally do not leave bad reviews. However, my experience was so bad staying at the Residence Inn that it made a huge impact on our vacation. We booked a partial view room! The room we were put in was right over the entrance awning. We couldn’t see the ocean at all. We booked this hotel because it’s a Marriott. But it’s unlike any Marriott I’ve ever stayed at before and shouldn’t be classified as such! Built in 2014 this hotel is in very rough shape. The elevator on one end was broken, paint was peeling and chipping everywhere, mold stains in the “renovated” shower and around toilet. The dresser drawers wouldn’t stay shut if you used them. The entire Hotels AC was clearly not working. It was constantly hot everywhere. Our room never got under 74 degrees. This made our stay miserable in its self. Housekeeping was terrible. We didn’t even see her until day 4. I had to go every day to get towels and wash clothes for our room. I don’t mind that they have an every other day cleaning policy. However we didn’t even get that. It’s $15 plus tax per day to park your car in the parking lot of a hotel you paid to stay at. This price is way too high for it to be an open parking lot!! If you have littles they have to be super careful in the pool. There’s a sitting ledge that goes around the pool under water. We watched a little girl not notice it and bust her head right on it when she was swimming backwards. Then another boy jumped in and it scraped him up. I will never stay here again! This review is not to simply complain on the internet, it’s to truly share our experience so others don’t have to. We left a day early because of our experience staying here.

I am a Marriott Bonvoy and Hilton Honors member with status. I picked this hotel for the Marriott name and the location because it was closer to where I needed to be for several things we were doing. Neighborhood where hotel is located is iffy at best. Being immediately adjacent to the beach was nice, staff with one exception were very kind and friendly and recognized shortcomings of entire facility, food at bar was decent, and breakfast was fair. Rooms and facility overall are a completely different story. There was no AC in the hallways, and several of the onsite amenities were out of service; washers, dryers, printers, elevators, etc. Rooms are very, very, used up. Carpet is threadbare in many places, furniture is tired, and overall a lack of maintenance is very apparent everywhere. Will not stay there again. Also allowing smoking in several areas of hotel even though no smoking signs are posted everywhere.

My family (18 month daughter, husband, mother & father) & I stayed here for 6 nights and had a FANTASTIC vacation staying in this hotel. The rooms were VERY clean, the free breakfast every morning was sooo nice to have & super yummy. Lots of options for sure! The staff were so friendly and helpful with everything we needed. They have good safety measures in place, as you have to use your key card to get the elevator to go to the floor you’re on. The only thing we didn’t love, was paying an extra $15 a night for parking. But, with a whole kitchen, free breakfast, and being directly on the beach, this was not a dealbreaker for us. 10/10 would recommend this place! If we even visit Daytona Beach again, we will stay here again! Also, there’s LOTS of food options within 20 minutes of this place. Also mini golf (a few), a few arcades, a gentleman’s club (if you’re into that), and more.
