Awesome hotel! The service is outstanding! Nathan at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure we were set up comfortably. This location is great too, you are right between Dana point, San Clemente and Laguna Beach. Comfortable, spacious and clean rooms. I highly recommend this place.

Stayed for 5 nights. One bedroom suite was very spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and responsive. Breakfast was excellent. The only negative was the cleanliness. Bathroom never seemed to have been properly cleaned (every other day)...soap dishes, floor and shower walls. Other than that...I would stay there again.

This hotel is probably one of my favorites. I stayed here for quite a while when I was relocating for work. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. The rooms were big, nice and clean with lots of open space to either have friends over or for a toddler to play. The kitchen was the average size of a long term hotel (smaller than I’m used to, but definitely still useable). The amenities were great. The location is perfect as it allows easy and fast access to Interstate 5. My only two gripes are that the AC is a little louder than I would like and if you will be cooking a lot, id recommend getting a box fan and cracking a window to get the air moving. Otherwise, a very pleasant experience!

Clean and up to date hotel room. Complimentary breakfast that was fresh. There was someone always monitoring the food to make sure when it needed to be replenished. Beds were comfortable and linens were 100% cotton.

This place is disgusting. Checked in with my family and service animal. We wanted a featherless room, quiet. We were put into a room with feathers and on the side of the train. Between allergies and the train we were up all night. My husband requested us to be moved where the front desk girl said she would “waive” the pet fee for the inconvenience but our dog isn’t just our pet, he’s my autistic child’s REGISTERED service animal. The next room we got was just gross. Not clean, and slapped together. For the price you’re better checking in right down the road at the double tree in Dana point. As a travel advisor, I’ll be reporting this to Marriott as this is NOT standard. This hotel needs to be gutted and remodeled desperately, and the staff needs to be also!

The front desk guy. I believe his name was Nathan was amazing, attentive, friendly and helpful. Pool and hottub were clean. Room was magnificent. Train was a bit loud thru the night. But overall...great stay. Only recommendation is to have someone do rounds and pick up trash next to room doors. Our hall was pretty stinky. Someones food waste was sitting out there for about 10+ hours.

The hotel and my room were clean and smelled good. Breakfast had several choices and was fresh. The staff that I encountered were friendly and helpful. The location was close to dining and tourist attractions. Thank you Residence Inn San Juan Capistrano!

If you love the all-night sounds of 18-wheelers barreling down the nearby 5 freeway, or perhaps screaming motorcycles at 4 a.m., then this is your hotel. Don’t forget to ask for a quiet room when you check in so the front desk can say, “Sure,” and ignore that too. Change a room? “Sorry, we’re booked, and we also don’t have enough cleaning staff.” (???)||One star because the room is otherwise fine, just extremely noisy. You can do better. No need for hotel management to respond here, disingenuously apologizing and telling me how they try and how they are in a high-demand area. They know the noise issues.||Be warned as well, that parking is $20/night.||There are many hotels in this “high-demand” area. You can do better.
