We stayed at this hotel for three weeks after selling a home and transitioning to our next step. The rooms were clean. The location was great with multiple restaurants in walking distance and a Target very close by. The free breakfast was a hot breakfast with several options. The staff at this location were great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Meredith at the front desk was amazing! She went above and beyond to make our stay great and we appreciated her.
I have no idea how this place is rated so highly, it’s a total dump. I can’t believe it’s a Marriott. As Titanium Elite we were placed in a room that was dirty and falling apart. They told us it was the only one they had but after complaining they were able to move us. Next room wasn’t much better but it was cleaner. It also faced the interstate which is loud. We ended up canceling our reservation and moving to the other Residence Inn in Colorado Springs.
We stayed here 3 nights as a family in August 2024 - typically choose residence inns for family travel due to separate bedrooms from the family room.||This hotel is dated and needs updates.||It took 3 rounds of keys to get into our initial room (323). No apology from the front desk, and also no recognition of Bonvoy Titanium status or upgrade offer. Eventually the maintenance man (Isaac) fixed the key situation (he was great). He did say our room hadn’t been open for a while. The window had been left open, and it smelled like the deep fryer from the restaurant next door. ||I asked to be changed to a 2bed and was eventually accommodated the next day. I sent a note via the app about the smell and eventually was communicated through the app that a new room (105).||Again key issues, in total I think new keys had to be issued 5-6 times for the entire visit. Isaac came through again and said he’d fix the issue, and he did. And again no apology from the front desk.||Once settled in the new room - my 2 complaints are internet speed (WiFi and tv/Netflix loading) and when I asked for additional wine glasses, the front desk clerk looked confused and went to go find more, but after 5+ minutes I left.||I was granted a late checkout which was appreciated.||Breakfast was good, location is good, but these rooms need renovations, and the staff could use a lesson in customer service, especially for elite members.
Positive: "" Negative: we booked a king suite and we were given an accessible suite with a full-size bed. We slept horribly. Elbowed each other in the face each night. The entire hotel was way below expectations. I got some thing less than mediocre.
My guess is that corporate doesn't seem to care about this particular hotel. We arrived on Day 1 and they said the card reader is not working, we had to be let in our room. We are on Day 3 and still have to ask to be let in our room. I'm annoyed that I have to spend our last night here (day 4). My spouse is at a conference and staying here with the kids going back and forth with employees to let us in the pool and rooms has been inconvientent. None of the employees seem to have any updates on if the card reader will be fixed, "they're suppose to send someone down to work on it" is all that we are told. While the staff seem nice enough, it is unsettling that we have to ask a staff member to let us in our room each moment we leave and only THEY have access to our rooms. I do not recommend this particular hotel.
Marriotts are my go-to. This was a good stay. Nice clean room. I had no regular coffee, but the friendly staff quickly rectified that.
We stayed in a studio room for a business conference. The studio included a full kitchen with some basic kitchen tools. The room’s style was a bit outdated, but everything was comfortable. There were extra pillows and blankets. The windows were real windows and could be opened to allow fresh air in. Unfortunately, there were no full body mirrors in the room or ice machines available for use. The lady at the front desk was helpful in getting us some ice from their kitchen. The breakfast was pretty basic for complimentary breakfasts (yogurt, oatmeal, waffles, eggs, coffee, pastries, etc.) This was a great location for walking to the Broadmoor World Arena and many restaurants. Parking was $5 per day which was less expensive than parking at the arena.
Awesome place with clean rooms, friendly staff, a pool and gym. We got a suite that fit 5 of us very comfortably. Full kitchen with fridge, stove, and all the trimmings.
