I recently had the pleasure of staying at this location that perfectly blended convenience, cleanliness, and top-notch service. Nestled within walking distance of the vibrant Louisiana Boardwalk, casinos, and an array of delightful food establishments, this hotel truly exceeded all my expectations. One of the standout features of this hotel is undoubtedly the immaculate rooms. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a fresh and clean atmosphere. The attention to detail in maintaining the rooms was evident, with every corner gleaming and the furnishings exuding comfort. It was evident that the hotel staff takes great pride in their work, ensuring that guests experience the highest level of cleanliness and comfort during their stay. Another highlight was the delightful breakfast provided each morning. The hotel's breakfast spread was simply outstanding, offering a wide variety of options to suit every palate. From freshly baked pastries to a selection of cereals, fruits, and hot dishes, there was something to satisfy every craving. The quality of the food was excellent, and the breakfast staff was attentive, ensuring that everything was replenished promptly and the dining area remained clean and inviting. What truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional friendliness and warmth displayed by the staff throughout my stay. From the moment I checked in until the day of my departure, every interaction with the hotel staff was met with genuine smiles and a willingness to assist.

I stayed in this hotel in January of 2020 and was very happy with the hotel and stay. I had to go back in Oct of 2023 and this hotel has really gone down. I was put in room 205 to begin with and the furniture was stained so bad and the room was really dark. I asked for a different room and they moved me to room 108 which was a handicapped room. It had more light than the other room and the furniture was not stained but there were so many other issues. The bathroom was awful. The mirror was peeling off, mold all in the shower, shower curtains and shower cord to sprayer was rusted. the floor was nasty tiles falling off the wall, and the toliet paper holder was broken. The kitchen floor was nasty, mold on the kitchen counter behind the sink. There were little holes and marks all over the walls. The carpet in the bedroom had a big place where the carpet was missing. The front of the appliances were rusted and so were most of the handles on the furniture. One of the drawers to the cabinet before you enter the bathroom would not stay closed. The lights over the beds did not work in room 105 and 208. Iron was nasty on the bottom and a screw popped out of the wall when I went to pick up the iron from the holder. I will never stay at this hotel again.

No, thank you. Won’t be staying here again. One working elevator, hallways were stifling, carpet in hallway and rooms were stained. The sofa in our room had huge dark stains all over it. Wouldn’t sit on it, much less have someone sleep on it. Called the front desk to ask for feather free pillows. After an hour went by with no new pillows, I called again to be informed that the hotel only carries feather pillows. So make of that what you will. Definitely unlike any Marriott property that I’ve ever stayed in. I won’t be back. Do better.

We stayed at this hotel second weekend in September. This hotel has gone down over last several years due to lack of maintenance. Only one hotel was working when we were there. |After checking into room and headed ot to eat dinner, the deadbolt on our door was stuck in the "locked position" so the door wouldn't close. Wife went downstairs to report the issue. I stayed in open room and tried to unlock door with keycard, knob and door handle. Eventually lock went in and we could close door. Front desk lady's reply was "sometimes you need to jiggle the handle to fix that." I've nevr seen that in operating instructions on door locks.|Returned to our room late that night and the toilet would not flush. Went downstairs to report this and lady was nice and gave us a key to a room down the hall that was vacant. We could go use that room if we needed toilet. I did apply "deadbolt theory" to toilet. I jiggled handle sevarl times and toilet flushed. |Carpet was torn and frayed going from hall into bathroom. Toilet paper holder was broken and if you touch it, the entire thing tilted down and TP rolled off onto the floor. |Corner shelf in shower was missing screws, so it became a trick shelf-if you set anything on the shelf, it rotated and dumped everything onto bottom of tub.|Breakfast would good. Lady working front desk at checkout was nice and listened to our complaints and saw pictures we took. She got our name and said she would have manager contact us when she got back into office. Evidently manager has not returned because nobody has contacted us. ||Not the quality of room or service we expected for a room costing almost $200.00/night.||

I wanted to provide some feedback on my stay. I believe when I checked in on the Marriott mobile app, I asked for a 4pm check out. Regardless I asked the day of checkout about a 4pm checkout and they said they could not because the hotel was completely sold out. I told them I was an Ambassador member, and it was important today that I get a 4pm checkout. They said sorry I needed to be out by 2pm the latest, not 11, but no further. I said I would call the Ambassador desk and ask them to extend my stay until 4. They said Ok call them, but I must be out by 2pm the latest.||I called the Ambassador desk, they called the front desk at the Shreveport Residence Inn and presto, I was extended to 4pm. Great news. However, the Ambassador desk representative said the hotel was completely booked so I must be out by 4pm, not a minute later. I didn’t want to risk being 5 minutes late from my event so after some thought I just checked out by 11am and immediately booked a room with Hilton that I only needed for today. Please note many of the Marriott properties are privately owned and act as Marriott properties in name only and for the perks of the Bonvoy referrals, end stop.||I’ll never be staying at that Residence Inn in Shreveport ever again. That hotel doesn’t care about the Marriott Bonvoy club levels and really didn’t care about what I told them.

Long review and photos to accompany. Pros: -Service/customer service was kind, professional and responsive -Pool was warm and open -Fitness center was clean and everything was in excellent condition. -beds were comfortable and clean -loved having a full dining table, refrigerator, stove top, and working dishwasher -location (central to Shreveport and bossier which I love) -walkable to several things Cons: -Room maintenance was awful (see photos). -dishwasher was not screwed into place (also a safety issue) and fell Everytime we opened it -soap caddy was falling off in the shower -bedroom door would not stay open -calking was well overdue -toilet paper holder was rusting and difficult -Cleanliness - lots of dirty handprints on doors (there was no hair and other areas seemed clean enough) - carpet was due for a deep cleaning (black when I had to wipe something up) Overall I didn't feel it was up to general Marriott standards and was disappointed given the price I paid for the room. I am happy to pay the price, but not for a room that was maintained and looked ike this.

Staffs and the hotel manager need to be trained about Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. I was rejected a room upgrade despite the rooms being available. First they said there is no availability. Then I showed the app with upgraded rooms available. Then they said the system is not allowing to do. Guys, this is not a motel to say lame reasons. Breakfast definitely needs improvement. Only 1 elevator is working. Positives - Housekeeping is good. Location is great and walkable to Horseshoe.
