You get what you pay for. Yes, this hotel is the most expensive in the Bangor area, but the service, facilities and people who work at this hotel are all outstanding.|We got a free upgrade also because of our Bonvoy status. The room was spacious and very quiet. |The room cleaning lady was extremely helpful and took care of all our needs in a timely manner. |We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who are planning to stay in the Bangor area.
The service by all has been exceptional! Out of the many Marriotts we have stayed in, this has been the most friendliest staff, best professional service, cleanest hotel! It’s one of the few that still have a hot tub and free hot breakfast! Marriott needs to take notice of what this hotel offers teaming up with a restaurant on site that offers great food and atmosphere that represents the history and area! The management need to know that your staff represent your hotel like they own it! 😊👍❤️
Just stayed the night for business Very large modern room/suite style with a couch, good size desk, lighting for meetings and kitchenette with all the necessities. One of the comfiest beds I've ever stayed in. which, if you're into actually sleeping, is a big deal. Firm enough for my back, but also super soft for side sleepers. Everything was clean, updated & spacious
Very nice Hotel. The restaurant downstairs is excellent, Timber. The host "Dale" was exceptional! He made us feel very special and has a great personality. Thank you Dale!
Though I only stayed here one night, I can tell that I'd like to stay again, for longer. What a great hotel especially or those needing a place to stay for work. The room is extremely comfortable and we had a kitchenette complete with stove, fridge, DW, microwave, etc.... if you had to be away from home for work for an extended period of time, this would be a perfect room for you. The bed was extremely comfy, the bathroom was big and beautiful and the closets were also very big. There was also a small seating area complete with large work desk and television. Everything was immaculately cleaned.||Conveniently located right near an Irving gas station too!||The main lobby and entrance was decorated in an Autumn theme and they made a great effort to make it look festive. Breakfast is included and is typical for most Marriotts/Best Westerns/Etc.... Hot and cold offerings, self-serve. It was very clean and the seating area was quite large, with big windows, large workspaces for those who like to log into work with their morning coffee.||There is also a restaurant, Timber, attached to the hotel. I highly recommend going there for dinner. What a great place! Fantastic food.
We recently left an important item in our room and realized it after checking out when we were an hour away. The staff were incredibly accommodating, immediately found the item and shipped it to our home. This Marriott also has an incredible location and the best restaurant in Maine is attached to the lobby. Can't say enough good things about it!
Not impressed with the front desk staff except for the night auditor, she was kind, friendly and attentive. The breakfast attendant was excellent. Housekeeping staff was great. The front desk staff terrible and they are the first impression of the hotel. Being a Marriott titanium member, I’m usually offered additional points or a selection from the market for my stay but neither was offered. The price of the room was extravagant for what you get. This place left a bad impression on me for a supposedly high end Residence Inn.
It is an Inn with freshness and youth located about a mile (nice walk) to the old town and a river runs by. Best part of the Inn is the restaurant! Far from modest priced, but wonderful service and tasty food. I asked for white wine but chilled. He brought me a little ice bucket to keep the carafe in! The salmon was good. Room, as with the style, is a suite and plenty of room well situated. Breakfast which was in the lobby lacked especially after the dinner.|Apples, eggs ( real?) typical breads, yogurt (my savior), juice.

Amazing place with amazing people! I called to book a reservation for my boyfriendâs surprise bday dinner and it turned out more than great! I asked if we can be in a private area and they accommodated! I asked if I can bring a cake in and have it
Great affordable, tasty food in a locally owned establishment! Thoroughly enjoyed the Shepherd's pie served with a smile by friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Great sandwich place! My favorite is the Dakin with adding mayo/mustard! Great chip selection and delicious Maine Root Beer! They have a grilled cheese panini that is mouth-watering! You can sit inside or outside and enjoy a great sandwich with fresh
Even if you don't buy anything, this place is like a curiosities shop. It's fascinating! They have a lot of things from plants to taxidermy animals. It was awesome and I will definitely come back.
Don't pass this one up! Took my 1 and 3yo to play here today, and will definitely be coming back, they loved it. Mostly older kids, but they were all considerate, and actually played with them too! Playground is nice, and is surrounded by workout eq
Great place to play basketball, they just redid the court. Hopefully it can stay nice this time and no kids destroy the rubber tiles. Best place in the bangor area to play, as well as a variety of park feature in the playground!
My wife and I refer to this place as our favorite coffee hut. It's so hidden on the grand scheme of placement but when I say the baristas and owner are so friendly and helpful. I love their monthly drinks as well.
