Residence Inn Boise Downtown/City Center - Featured Reviews (773)
I just received my folio via email for my stay in Boise from June 20-24. It contained charges for parking for each night's stay - we did not have a rental car for our visit. Upon inquiry of these charges, I was informed that the parking charges "are added automatically" since I utilized the mobile check-in option "until being told otherwise." ||I made various purchases at the front desk during the stay, AND since the mobile key was not working in the app upon initial arrival, we had to get physical keys immediately. At no time whatsoever were we asked if we had a car in the garage. There is no notice of these "automatic" charges anywhere in the mobile check-in process. ||Just an FYI to always check your folio upon receipt to confirm the charges. I am kind of a fanatic about it, but I would guess not everyone reviews it for accuracy. It's a nice racket to earn $20/night for unsuspecting guests!||As for the hotel itself, the rooms are a good size and the hotel is near everything. Be warned that, since there is a significant design flaw in the shower - there is a half glass wall (no door) on the walk-in shower. Because some genius decided to use a regular shower head, water goes EVERYWHERE. As a result, you get a nice swimming pool that forms on the bathroom floor during your shower. Rainfall shower heads - that shoot the water straight DOWN - need to be installed. ||And, what is it with hotels having crappy towels? Three things a hotel MUST have:||1. Comfy bed - I'll give them 5 stars for this.||2. NICE linens in the bathroom - 1 star for sure! Grandma's towels from 1962 that are so thin you can see through them are NOT "nice" nor are they desired. Perhaps the manager should take a shower and see how wonderful the scratchy towels feel on the skin?||3. Decent SOFT toilet AND facial tissue - What is with the one-ply sandpaper toilet tissue??? You do realize that the delicate areas of the body are exposed to this nightmare, right? It's no fun blowing your nose or wiping yourself after relieving yourself with tree bark!||Oh! And it would be nice to be able to use the iron in the room. See photo.
Absolutely amazing. Great staff, killer room, nice bar. Super friendly when checking in (after) they realized my mariott status. Would be cool if they were that friendly from the get-go.
It's probably my go-to spot when I'm passing through again.
The experience with Alex and the team at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. Our visit to see our son at BSU for the weekend was made even better by the hotel's prime location in the heart of downtown Boise. Being within walking distance to everything we didn't need to rent a car. The hotel itself was stunning and looked brand new. Our room was immaculate and decorated to perfectly suit the surroundings. The housekeeping service was exceptional.||To top it off, it happened to be our 21st wedding anniversary and Raul in housekeeping went out of his way to clean our room on a day which would have been skipped, making our stay even more special. Thank you, Raul.||The live entertainment in the bar on Friday and Saturday night was top-notch. It was my first experience at a Residence Inn with such entertainment, and it added a delightful touch to our evenings.||When it rained and snowed on Friday night, the Residence Inn had umbrellas available for guests at no extra charge, which was a thoughtful gesture.||Overall, we have nothing but praise for Alex and the entire team. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
The best customer service I’ve had in a while - wow. Everyone at the front desk is remarkably attentive. I am blown away by this hotel and I do travel a lot around the world.
PS perfect location - grocery store across the street, excellent coffee shops. Perfect all around.
Enjoyed using the hot tub and pool. Wonderful service during breakfast hours. Nice front desk service, as well at the evening deck. Wish the deck was open later though.
Loved my stay at this Residence Inn. The hotel is in a great location in downtown Boise. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area. The hotel looks new and was very clean. Can't wait to stay here again.
While the hotel itself was clean, the staff the evening of December 3 when I checked in was rather dry. Yes, I'm an elite member, and no, I don't "expect" special treatment, but a smile and acknowledgment would've been nice. I do, however, appreciate the perks that come with business travel, and this hotel fell short.
Instead of bottled drinks (specifically, water), you are given drink coupons for the bar... and they served everything in glass cups. We simply wanted to take a beverage upstairs to eat with dinner. I also asked about the availability of an upgrade from a studio to a 1 bedroom suite, and the same lady checking me in acted as if 1 bedroom suites were none existent. So much so, I went to the website b/c I thought all RIs had various suites, and of course, the website confirmed what I knew.
The morning staff was a lot better and happily granted a late check out at 4, but with the price (extremely high), and dry service by some staff, I may have to leverage my Hilton status when traveling to Boise.
I was here with the family, we just wanted to do an overnight trip and this is were we ended up. As we pulled up the first thing I noticed was how difficult it was to get my truck into the parking garage from the alley. After a 40 point turn I was able to make it in. The garage was super clean and had plenty of parking even being on a Saturday evening. The doors leading to the elevator were locked and needed an key card from the hotel, this made me feel that much more safer. When checking in we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff. They promptly checked us in and got us out room key. The room was nice and clean and the view of downtown was pretty cool. The pool hours were nice and allowed us to swim the evening we checked in as well as the morning we checked out. The pool was pretty cold though. Hot tub was perfect. They had an average hotel breakfast that was provided, no complaints there. Overall we all had a good time and will be using this hotel again in the future.

Great food and very friendly staff. We came with our dog and they accommodated us very well out on the patio and brought him his own water bowl too. The food we had was all great. It's neat to have a place so close where we can get to try handmade au
