Quaint and humble farmers market ^_^. Good music, welcoming, kind, and assembled with a good variety. I loved it all. I got some ice cream from Bluebird ($6 Theo chocolate chunk in a waffle cone), a seafood chowder from Mystery Bay ($10), some berries from Hayton farms (4-pack $13), fruits and veggies from Aguilar farms (zucchini $2, pear $1), and I think I got a lovely flower from Thong’s garden (red dahlia $2)? Definitely going to get another single flower next week!
Lots of options, organic and standard produce, fine cured meats, beautiful flowers, prepared foods, candles, natural bath and body products, handmade jewelry, live music, in a festive and friendly setting. It can get busy and with good cause. Luckily, there is a large parking lot right next door.
having been to over 100 local markets over the years I think it's telling that not a single vendor at the "Renton Farmer's Market" was actually from Renton, and a quick look at the registration requirements will tell why (even though Renton has local growers and enough family homesteaders in excess); more telling is the fact that fights broke out between the encamped drug vagrant that ghost around this area and terrify the nearby daycare to count 3 times since the market opened this 2021 season, one plus is love the live music and bands have talent... but most days they're literally catering to audience of 1 most times (who is their own videographer) but I'm grateful they have helped call police when fights break out
Very nice market, lots of fresh berries, fruits and vegetables, flowers(got 2 beautiful bouquets for $5 each), wine and ciders, and many more...
The Renton Farmers Market is my favorite summer farmers market, hands down. The area where they have it set up is very convenient (right by the Transit Center and the Park and Ride), and the hours are also very friendly to those of us who work a regular 9-5 (it goes from 3pm - 7pm). They have lots of great vendors from produce, to flowers, plants, drinks and pastries (special mention for the berries!), and half of the market is dedicated to food trucks. When the weather gets hot, they have cooling tents and free water as well. I definitely recommend!
Better than expected! Lots of ready to eat food options, good produce, similar vendors as all the other Seattle farmers markets. A cool venue with a vibe, don’t under estimate downtown Renton!
While it’s not the most unique farmers market, it still stands as what it should be: a place that values community. Though the goods are simple, niché, and quite expensive. That’s not to say if you look hard enough you won’t find some gems here. The ice cream here is one of the top 3 ice creams I ever ate in my life, but it was $6 soooooo…. take that with a grain of salt. Overall, if you’re looking for a casual stroll and not expecting much, this place is perfect for you. An adventure can be found anywhere, anytime, and I believe Rentons Farmers Market is perfect for a next stop if you just happen to be next to the transit station while you’re at it. Some notable places to visit: • The place that offered Samosas, highlight of the place by far! It was so good, flavorful, very much bussing. • The ice cream parlor was lovely too! Such a nice young pal with amazing ice cream. But once again, $6 for ice cream is a LOT. A star was deduced for the overall generic market and the occassion fragrance of human waste.
I look forward to the Renton Farmers Market every year. In addition to the fresh, local produce, there are a number of food booths, local businesses, and a few community groups as well, like the "Ask a Gardener" booth for those of us whose thumbs aren't quite green yet. Very laid back, sunshine and air. Nearby parking is good. Sometimes I do wish they'd get a few local acoustic musicians, but it's fine. Looks like it expands every year, and I hope it continues for many more.
