I stayed from 8/2-8/4 and the lady (who I sadly can't remember her name) who checked me in at night was amazing! She was so professional and kind. She helped me with parking and even was able to give my boyfriend a free soda can when he went down to get something from the gift shop and noticed they do not take cash. She really made our trip great with her hospitality.

I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I’ve traveled all over the country and the world, and I’ve rarely been treated as poorly as I was by the front desk staff of the Renaissance Allentown. I came to town for the All Elite Wrestling TV taping on June 19th at the PPL Center. I’d made my reservation a month earlier on May 9th, the same day I bought my AEW ticket. When I walked up to the front desk, I was informed that the Renaissance had overbooked and my room was not available. I get that this happens on occasion as hotels don’t want to be left with empty rooms, but the Renaissance overdid it. Myself and two couples (and most likely more) were all told at the same time there was no room at the inn, and our hearts sank. No effort was made at all to find us rooms at other hotels, though the front desk manager (whose name I know, but I don’t believe in personal attacks) made every effort to gaslight us into thinking we’d made the mistake or that the booking site made the mistake. WRONG!!! Even worse, the front desk staff kept checking in other people and just stopped paying attention to us. Having worked the front desk at a few hotels myself, the Golden Rule is to ALWAYS take care of the guest in front of you FIRST. We’d all driven 4+ hours to get to Allentown, and the Renaissance does us like this?!? I know we weren’t the wrestlers themselves or some high roller coming to town, but this hotel staff & management are truly horrendous! I can’t believe Marriott lets their property get away with treating people like this. You’re putting your vacation/trip in jeopardy if you stay here…SO JUST DON’T STAY HERE!!!

Pleasant stay for our family weekend trip. We were greed by two very friendly front desk ladies upon arrival. While checking in, they shared with us about the events going on in the town and near by attractions which is very helpful. We had some noise concern about the room we staying, and I went back to the lobby to request a change. The front desk was very accommodating and switched us to a more quiet room. I would definitely stay in this hotel again next time we are in the area.

Not a great experience. There were some good things like the bed but the bathroom was shocking - and it was very loud in the room Front desk staff was professional and courteous, property was maintained - other than the guest baths and the bed was very comfortable with feather pillows and duvet. There were many misses. The windows didn’t drown out the loud bar next door blasting music or the modified mufflers driving by constantly until the early morning. The shower had a strange build up on the floor that flaked off - I didn’t dare use it. There was a detector of some sort over my bed that flashed every 15-30 seconds. The club lounge was sparse - no rooms service of any kind. The TV remote worked sporadically - I had to unplug the tv to turn it off. It felt like a Marriott rather than a luxe property. I would not recommend.

Booked a room 3 months in advanced for a venue in June. 2 days prior to venue date, I called to confirm the room. The room was confirmed. On the morning of venue I received an email stating they (Renaissance) are unable to honor my request for a room. After I called the hotel, I was told that it was canceled by Travelocity. I called Travelocity to confirm what was told to me and was informed that the room was not canceled. The customer service representative (Travelocity) called the hotel himself and was told they canceled the reservation because they overbooked the day!! So I have tickets to this venue which I need to travel an hour away but NO ROOM! Thank God the representative from Travelocity found me a room. So disappointed with the Renaissance Hotel. Beware they won't do the same to others. I will never book with this hotel !

I loved this hotel. They were so thoughtful about creating a theme that matched the steel city vibe by making an industrial design.||It was super clean, and housekeeping came right on time daily. The snack lounge for elite stay members was fully stocked.||I just felt good about being there and the industrial art on the mezzanine was great.

Really disappointed. Mold in bathroom, misinformation provided on valet service location. Lots of loud noise from neighboring bar and odors from the kitchen below.

My 1st time here. Very hard to locate parking as no GPS signal in center city. I didn't have a room but went to the Dime Bar. Bartender very unfriendly and inexperienced . Knowledge of liquor was poor .Ran out of what I was drinking with no back up. Also never got a chance to dine as everything I asked for was told they were out of . And was very rushed by Bartender that they were closing soon. 1st impression very POOR

Our 1-night stay was very comfortable to break up our road trip. Our 1 bedroom suite was very roomy and clean. Kitchen appliances and bathroom were a little dated, but did not bother us. The receptionist was very kind and helpful getting us a crib. B
