Relax Inn Emporia - Motel in Emporia - 1586 Skippers Rd, USA

I have been traveling i-95 since it was built and before that 301. This Motel is one of those old motels fully renovated that reminded me when I was a child very efficient like it was in the old days. I think they did a beautiful job in renovating the motel it really is on 301 and next to the new i-95.. I started traveling this route from the age of 5 years old to my current age of 69 years. It really reminded me how well-organized motels were built in the 50s I just don't understand the bad reviews that this motel got irrelevant of the good price it is my favorite motel to stay on along the route from New York City to Miami which I do very frequently

Owner was great, but charged me a full day for a few hours of sleeping. Business is business. Beds are comfy, very clean, bathrooms need updating, but for a sleepover inn, very well priced

Please this was disgusting!!!! My husband and I currently stayed at your Relax Inn and we were grossed out by the filth that we saw. We got there at 11:30 PM and we were exhausted after driving all day. When we walked in the room we could not believe the filth. On the floor was a box with sticky inside of it and it was for rats. The smell was horrible and this room was not fit for even my puppy. We had to lay our heads down because it would have not been safe for us to leave and my husband had to close his eyes. I looked in the beds and there was hair and a head imprint on the pillow, the smell of the beds smelled like a sweaty body. We stayed only a few hours because I felt bugs crawling on me in bed. I have a video I want to send you because this needs to go to someone higher and even the health department. I do want a refund for this room, I went to the front desk at 4 AM and told the young women that we had to go due to the bugs. I asked her to have management call me and I never received a call. I have called a few days after again and she said he was out of the office. I feel like this video should go viral but I wanted to have someone call me first. This place need to be gutted, we had water leaking through the walls next to the tub as well. Please view the video that I will post later. I want something done.

i don’t know how to give something zero stars but if i could i would. the toilet wouldn’t shut up and you can almost feel some kind of eldritch horror lurking under your bed and everything stinks. i would describe the stench as a pomegranate strawberry fruit leather and that was just nasty. the bed sheets are so starchy and there was a hole straight through one of our beds. do not go here

Stayed there one night. Toilet seat was broken, toilet was not clean and toilet was clogged, used wash cloth was in the shower. TP had used half roll and no backup TP. Only thing good was it was cheap at $52

First of all this is an older place but maintained well enough. The price was the best I’ve seen. The ice machine worked , the room and bed were clean . The bed was very comfortable! Parking right in front of your door with plenty of other parking if you are pulling a trailer. The staff were friendly and had coffee ready at 7 am. The value and comfort . Not a Hilton or something snazzy , but perfect for overnight stay . Pleased !

The good. The outside of the building was inviting. The location and parking was perfect. The bad: The room was not cleaned not maintained. The bathtub was so scary as you will see in the photo. The water line to the toilet was an afterthought. The bathroom light was missing and replaced with lights over the door. The exhaust vent was over the shower. There was hair all over the floors and broken equipment was put in the corners of the room. It reminded me of the Bates motel. I was wondering when Jason was going to come through the door. I guess you get what you pay for.

The smell was horrible. Bed makes noise. Not well maintained. Not enough light at night. NOT RECOMMENDED.
