Relax Inn - Motel in Staunton - 210 White Hill Rd, USA

Was once Armstrong's Restaurant & Hotel, Nothing more than an Eyesore now. Run down motel where people live,charged ridiculous prices. Reputation for Illegal activity. Unkempt. Just an Ugly,Pathetic Place.

As I pulled in the staff created me quite pleasantly considering how late I arrived. As I entered the room it actually didn't smell and it was pleasantly modern considering it was $35 for the night. Furby in this chief of course the first thing you going to do is he check to see if there's bed bugs or anything like that whole the walls are stained up and I did see a cockroach in the bathroom but other than that it was quite surprising the beds are pretty nice and comfy and I guess to just crash for 5 hours it's worth 35 bucks

This place is alright based on what they charged me. Every place around was a lot higher and probably a lot nicer. The check-in was easy enough and I needed to show the coupon on my phone. When I checked the room it had two beds, a flat screen and microfridge . The bed was comfortable and the heater worked well, and that was it. No shampoo or hair drier. The wifi worked well enough, too

The man who helped me at the front desk was friendly, I haven't seen any bugs, and the wifi has been reliable. I booked this hotel on accident, thinking that it was the Sleep Inn down the road... big oops. No refunds are given, so I was stuck with my mistake. Carpet in room is sticky, ceiling of bathroom is moldy, furniture is stained/ worn, and my room smells of wet dog. My room isn't obviously dirty, but not as clean as a hotel room should be. Definitely needs some renovating ( for example, there is an unskillfully patched hole in the bathroom door and I can see light shining through a couple of small holes in the curtains.) I realize that this is a small, cheap hotel, but I've stayed at several with similar rates that were cleaner and better kept- up.

When checking in, there was a small poorly hand written sign on the counter saying "no hot or warm water". I asked if there would be a discount for no hot water I was was told unapologetically, absolutely "no". We had traveled 5 hours to pick up a rescue dog and had booked this room on the the internet from Travelocity and picked this motel because their website touted great prices and "pets allowed". As I was speaking with the owner I noticed another small poorly hand written sign on the desk saying no pets allowed. He, again, unapologetically said "no pets allowed." and just shrugged his shoulders. I mentioned that their website said "pets allowed" he again shrugged his shoulder and reaffirmed that there "no pets allowed". The motel was run down and the office smelled terrible. I can only imagine what the rooms were like after seeing the office where the owner's family seemed to be living. Please do yourself a favor and book a room anywhere else but not the Relax Inn Motel.

We've stayed here a few times. The property has certainly seen better days. The physical location is lovely and easily accessible from I81 exit 217. The rooms are large and h include an arm chair!! I'll overlook a lot for an arm chair in my room, but I want the room to be clean and roach free. Not this time. And then there is the condition of the parking lot. broken pavement and a 6" + drop from the sidewalk to the parking lot in front of our room. And then there is the collection of beer bottle caps and cigarette butts that haven't been swept up in this decade. It may be the cheapest motel in the area, but please clean it up a little. Roach in the sink, roach in the dresser drawer; there's no excuse for this.

It's cheap, it's clean, the beds are good as is the TV. Shower suitable for someone 4 ft 11 but still viable. Water is hot, spray is vigorous. It's not new but it's clean and we'll maintained. Use coupon in the "red" hotel discount book.

I was caught in the rain late @ night. Needed a place bad. I figured how bad can it be....... I should have slept on the bike Place was dirty stink bugs in my bed. Sleeping a June bug flew from under the bed and landed on me. I took the poor little fellow outside so he didn't have to spend the night in this Dump. Feral cats running around with food and water out for them. The owner refused a refund. In the future a picnic table would provide more comfort. The price is low because if they charged more no one would cross the threshold.
