Relax Inn-Benton - Motel in Benton - 17900 I-30 Frontage Rd, USA

I called and got a price. They wouldn't allow me to reserve a room over the phone, but assured me there would be plenty when they arrived. I got there and showed my ID for the paperwork, but when that was completed I was told about a deposit that had to be payed in cash. I wasn't carrying cash, and offered to pay the deposit with either a credit card or a debit card. The employee was adamant that that would not work because of the fees for refunding a deposit, which is bogus because usually refunds also refund associated fees. When I pushed her on the issue, she decided that she did not want to rent me a room, and I sure didn't want to be involved in shady untraceable cash transactions, so we parted ways and I went to Capri Inn where the price was similar and I was able to use a card for the deposit!

The TV's are old bubble TV's. The bathroom door wouldn't close correctly and there was a hole in the bathroom door. The shower head leaked when I went to take a shower and it sprayed water all over the wall. The room was clean and free of bugs/pests. Staff was polite and friendly. The owner just needs to fix the rooms up a bit and update the TV's, microwaves and small refrigerators in each room.

The man at the counter is very respectful and strict, room service took good care of us and when the television wouldn't work a man came and fixed it he was very nice overall a nice little hotel

Another hotel recommended this as a great value and I have to agree. Clean, comfortable, rooms and friendly, helpful staff. I visit the area often and I think I found my new go-to hotel.

This hotel feels exactly how a hotel should feel in my opinion. Very homey feeling not the most fancy but also my room is not dirty so I’m not complaining plus the AC works!

Room was ok, service wasn't. We could hardly ever get towels, don't get a towel dirty cause then it's stained and will charge you $5 cause they were a little dirty. Then don't get any kind at all of an attitude or he will take half your deposit. Then took 3days to catch him there to get our deposit back

85 for the night out of date. Heard people being loud yelling and banging on walls till 3 am. Vending machines are out of service and ice machine is broken. The lady informed me when I checked in there were no visitors allowed on the property which I just need a place to sleep till the morning and she looked confused. The last time this room was cleaned supposedly was in October of 2022 one of my kids found a Walmart receipt by the tv. In other words don’t stay at this hotel not worth the money, it wasn’t worth $85. So since I can’t leave a zero I will leave a(1)
