I booked through Kayak on a driving trip based on price. I was unsure of what I was getting. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The room had been recently remodeled. It was clean, bright and the furniture in good shape. The bed was fine and my sleep good. There is a train that runs very close to the hotel. It is very noisy in the parking lot but rather quite in the room. The did a decent job with the soundproofing.

Older property with dated exterior, but don't judge a book by it's cover! My room was updated with all the modern features and fixtures. Sparkling clean! If you are a rail buff the train tracks are across the street. The trains dont use their airhorns in town though, so I barely notice when one passed by. A very cool feature I liked was that I could open the windows for fresh air!!

One of the best small town motels I stayed in. The room and flooring everything looked quite new unlike some motels I have stayed in in the past. And the staff was super nice too. Location is another plus. They needed to add mattress toppers on the bed, it was a bit hard.

Close to downtown and somewhat walkable. Rooms were okay, the bathroom was a little gross (the shower was stained and mildew-y) and a hole in the wall was stuffed with toilet paper and covered up by towels. The bed was fine but underneath the 3 sheets and blankets was a gross stained mattress cover with actual food/grime on the side. Stayed 1 night, wouldn't recommend unless you're on a tight budget.

Stayed here in room 207 for three nights. When I got home I was feeling sick. My doctor said I was exposed to mold and having an allergic and respiratory reaction to the mold. I thought the room smelled a bit old but the facelift they have done was fairly nice. I suspect that behind the fresh paint could be some old structures that are moldy. On face value their update seemed nice enough. I just think the “bones” of this place might have some concerns. If your room smells musty or old I would keep the possibility of mold in mind.

Updated, very clean and modern room. It was exactly what the pictures show. Good bedding and toiletries. Friendly greeting and coffee in the lobby in the morning. A great value. It’s an easy, less than a mile walk, to the hot spots downtown. Would definitely stay again.

Great room, clean. Check in was great. He was very friendly. But $115 for a Saturday stay is way above what they need to be charging. But in this tourist trap town they have a captive audience.

Booked a 3 night stay on Expedia. Affordable price and good location, but not many other perks. Desk clerk was polite and friendly, and housekeeping provided extra towels when asked. However, our room had a bad smell (something like skunk and mold - we think it was the bathroom) and the bed was very firm. The train is also very close and goes by constantly, so DO NOT stay here if you don't sleep like the dead. We kept the bathroom door closed, and ran the fan all night as white noise for the train (we knew in advance) and to try to help get rid of the smell. After the first night, I asked if they had toppers for the beds and was told the beds were new, no toppers available, but an extra blanket could be provided. It didn't help much, but the desk clerk did bring it over which was nice. We literally only used the room to sleep so we did not fuss over the smell too much. We were also supposed to receive daily housekeeping - that didn't happen once during our stay. TLDR; You get what you pay for - just a place to sleep (mostly uncomfortably and smelly), but central to town/amenities.

I won a bet with my buddy about who had the best burrito in town. I made him eat an El Mayor from Tres Amigos. He looked me dead in the eyes and said: "you win".
