Reid's House Restaurant - Diner in Reidsville - 1220 S Scales St, USA

I love good, hearty, southern food served in a New England style diner. The seating is cozy and lines move fast. The service is always top-notch. This is by far my favorite place to eat in Reidsville.

We've been coming here for the 7 years that we've been living in this great town, but I do not think we'll be dining there anymore. Though the service is always great and the girls are always friendly, the quality of food is not what it used to be. The portions have diminished and lack the home cooked taste we have enjoyed in past meals. Today, for the first time, it upset my stomach, and caused me a lot of pain. With all the new dining options out there, it's a shame to see a long standing little diner that we've enjoyed all this time just decline.

My only problem is I asked for crispy French fries they weren't. I asked for my burger to be well done it wasn't. So, I might try one more time. We shall see!

Our waitress was AMAZING In fact all the employees are charming and all smiles, The food was Good with the exception of the Biscuits they are AWESOME! All in all, it was a good experience. Wait time on food was a bit longer than expected it felt very much like there were some newer employees working and they were very busy. We will indeed be going back mostly because of the staff and our server in Particular.

We wanted a quick meal before a medical appointment. I was concerned that we might have to wait too long, but food came quickly and was hot and good. Friendly people. It looked like most were regular customers.

You are immediately greeted with the aromas of sizzling bacon, strong coffee and the sweet buttery smell of waffles; followed by the clanking sounds of forks and knives on plates. Where coffee is poured in the thick ceramic cups with all the adds for local shops printed on them and the waitresses call you Shugg or Sweetie. Great local place to get that no cuts in the butter, sugar or grease food!

Never again. I was just in there over an hour and my food never came out, but other people that came after me were eating right away. Racist place if I could get -5 stars ⭐️ I would.

Looks like an old run down waffle house. But tastes like grandma's homemade country cooking. Lots of butter, lots of flavor, and lots of customers. There was a long wait for our food but well worth it. Great food! Workstaff was very good and attentive.
