A great beach, but the waves can and will take you down if you're not vigilant. It's also an exceptionally clean beach since glass bottles and smoking were banned on the beach and most parts of the boardwalk. Just keep in mind that the beach officially closes at one in the morning, and camping is not allowed on the beach. However, there are plenty of campgrounds within 5-10 miles of Rehoboth.
really pretty and the broadwalk pretty too if you come early around 12-5 its gonna be really packed and hot but if you want less people come around 6 and later .
The trip is very nice and scenic, and the boardwalk is incredibly fun, and there is a lot to do. I recommend the daily parking if you are coming in by car and are going to spend more than 6 hours at the beach or at the boardwalk it is more affordable that way. There is quite a bit of walking, so bring comfortable shoes if you want to walk around and look at everything rehoboth has to offer.
I went to Rehoboth Beach last year with my mom. It was okay, not the best beach I’ve been to. It was definitely overcrowded and overrated in my opinion. However, I am a person who likes some peace and quiet… so if you’re a big people person, this may be an attractive spot. I definitely recommend going to the Playa Bowls after your beach day… or if you like sweet treats… I would recommend Rita’s Gelato.
Small town, clean beaches. Lots of fun activities for kids. Gets crowded during summer, but still manageable. Losts of parking on the streat (metered during season), can be paid using park mobile app.
Safe and inviting for families, one of nicer beach locations around the area.
I loved it. I felt like one of the kids being that hardly any adults were in the water lol. It was really chill and quiet toward the Henlopen Hotel and not too crowded.
Rehoboth beach is simply a great place to visit during the off season. But, if you choose to come during the summer season you may find some difficulty. Parking is limited and difficult to maneuver into. Beaches are extremely saturated with people. If you arrive late in the morning you will find an ocean of people sunbathing and not swimming. Why? If you try to dip into the ocean, you will suddenly experience a deep drop. Rip currents are not uncommon. Might want to consider some of the state beach parks. They charge a fee to enter, but in the end , you get a better group of crowds.
Best free beach. Family friendly, [You got that homey feeling] here. Located east of the Atlantic ocean, great place to people watch, sit back and relax, laugh and eat, yes, many food choices and if you like sweets, check out the candy kitchen, and free concerts.... A high desire spot for tourist as well as the locals. It was so crowded people were so friendly, what a great experience.
I love Towers Beach. Easy parking. Clean, sizeable beach. Life guards on duty. Showers on premise. No boardwalk noise. Just families, sand and ocean. Bring your own food and drinks. Budget friendly family spot.
Pleasantly surprised! Off-season, not much open so decided to try something different. Drawn in by the interesting hot dog options, but decided to try authentic Puerto Rican food made from scratch right there. Owner was pleasant and helpful offerin
This is such a great little place. They have a lot of vegan options and creative sauces. We loved coming here on our day trip to the beach. Everything was so fresh and flavorful!! Thank you. ðð
We ordered a savory crepe - ham/cheese/tomato and sweet crepes - peach/whipped cream and banana/chocolate/whipped cream.
They were excellent - especially the savory crepe. FYI they now accept credit card with a fee unlike some of the pictures of the
Transport yourself to the south of France just off the boardwalk in Rehoboth! Fantastic yet simple menu, with a modest but well thought wine list. Our party of 4enjoyed the escargot, cheese and charcuterie plate, steak frites (minus the frites, c'es
I've been coming to Rehoboth for some 30 years now and have always wanted to stop here but never did! I finally went today and was so delighted. This is a small but mighty museum, excellently curated with wonderful old artifacts and photos and inform
The owners are so kind and accommodating. We always plan a stop every time we visit Dewey. The fresh, made to order donuts are a highlight. Make a point to go here. You will be glad you did.
We were there on a weekday and got seated right away. The staff there was so friendly and accommodating for our large stroller!! The hot crab dip appetizer was absolutely delicious. Hot creamy and spreads of crab in every bite! The fish was perfectly
