Regency Inn - Motel in Corpus Christi - 3101 Surfside Blvd, USA

My husband and I reserved two nights at this hotel. It was the worst hotel, we had to leave the first night because somebody was knocking on the door. We had to report to 911 because desk attendant didn’t try to help. We were advised area is not too safe lots of homeless and a lot of calls come in to that area. AC unit leaking water on carpet, room smelled like cigarettes and mold. smoke alarm was covered in a plastic bag, we would never recommend anyone to stay there especially a family. One more thing, we should have known better after reading all the bad reviews. The bad reviews out weigh the good! This should be reported to the health and sanitation department.

The only great thing about this location and the only reason i stayed again is that there is No roaches and its next to the beach. The bad side its kind of mediocre and over priced especially on weekends and owners will be rude to you if you have a problem with anything about the. If this the best you can afford stay or go somewhere else. Spoke to soon i have to add that they do in fact have roaches. It’s literally a whole in the wall and i absolutely feel very uncomfortable eating in those room ewww🤢i wish i can show yall pictures but I accidentally deleted them on phone.

The owners are extremely friendly. The rooms could use a remodel, but for the price and location, I have no complaints. We really enjoyed our stay this weekend.

Came here for the first time with my kids. This is probably the worst room that I’ve ever had and I’ve been to a lot. My room on the 3rd flr, smelled like a mixture of mildew and Marijuana when we first entered. There were stains throughout the whole room. The tub was heavily stained to the point that we decided not to even shower and we’ve been walking all day and needed a shower badly lol. Some of the light switches and wall outlets didn’t even work. We didn’t use the microwave and fridge because we didn’t need to so I’m not sure how they are. There were no iron and ironing board, but had a rack lol. There’s a working TV. The A/C filter was super disgusting and smelt like old water. The hand soap packet was sealed, but broken into pieces. The only smoke detector in the room, had it’s battery sticking out so I’m guessing that doesn’t work either. Our queen beds looked nice, but because everything is so gross and trash, we felt mentally uncomfortable overall. Our bathroom came with only 1 towel and washcloth. The floors and stairs outside look so run down looking. On a positive note, it is super close to the beach and walking distance to the USS Lexington and Texas State Aquarium. Overall, if this place deserved a one star rating, it’s solely because of the location and that staff were friendly. I think this place needs to be renovated. For another $25, you can literally get a nicer room across the street at the DoubleTree by Hilton and it’s closer to the beach. This motel should cost only $20 for the type of room we got. Trash…. The staff is friendly. The parking is super tight so if you have a truck, gooood luck lol.

Arrived in the AM hours front desk young lady was super sweet and let me check in about 6 hours early free of charge. Room has your basics, beds, bathroom, TV, mini fridge, microwave and a desk. Location is incredible! Walking distance to the beach, aquarium, USS Lexington and a few good restaurants. The only complaint I have is their ice maker doesn’t work. Other than that it’s an older basic hotel. If you don’t feel like walking there are several “Lime” electric scooters around. (View from my room below)

This place is absolutely disgusting. The rooms are dirty, bathroom was filthy, and the building itself is quite frightening. Mold and dirt everywhere, lightbulbs missing, drywall patched but not painted. I checked in, went up to my room, and immediately checked back out. The man working the office offered to move me to a room facing the water, I declined. Not worth the few dollars you might save by staying here.

As of now, the rooms have been renovated and can tell they are doing something for the Guests/customers at this location on thier own timely available manner.

Room was small but clean. Older, but well maintained hotel. Right across the street fromthe beach, location couldn't be better. Parking is a bit awkward.
