Regency Inn Tallahassee - Motel in Tallahassee - 2735 N Monroe St, USA

My first time visiting at this motel. It was Awesome!! Best price around! Very clean room!! Great bed, fluffy pillows. I have NOT seen a single bug of any kind. The young lady at the front desk had a beautiful smile and was courteous and professional !!! I think the bad reviews were left by the other hotel owners near it. In the future I will pick this as my hotel in Tallahassee.

It's a HOTEL OF HELL! Literally. This place is a DUMP! Full of prostitution and drugs. The new assistant manager and wait staff that were recently employed here dec. 2017 are extremely rude and disrespectful. The hotel rooms are horrible and THERE IS NO POOL. Room prices are too much for a dump like this. I left the hotel after my husband left out on his own to run a few errands and when I returned to get another key to get back into my room, because my husband had the only one given, the wait staff and assistant manager refused to allow me back in because it was registered in my husband's name and then told me to leave off the premises. I said I'm not leaving that's ridiculous it's raining heavily and I need to get back into my room I'm exhausted and tired. I'll sit and wait inside until my husband returns. The assistant manager then called the police lied against me and told them that I was trespassing. Worst experience of my life. My husband had to immediately come back. After the police had gone she lied again to my husband in order to justify her actions and then said it's okay now for her to be here. Unbelievable! Trust me don't waste your time at the HOTEL OF HELL!

Awful Service! No Resolution...Literally in more ways than one!!!! We recently went on a trip where our travels was taking us from Florida to Virginia so basically this hotel was a stop gap since we were growing tired from our travels. Rate was decent but service was awful. Will throw out one disclaimer if there is a defense for the hotel... We arrived late like 1 am to stay until the next day. The T. V. in our room did not work, the picture literally was not visible which I will provide pics in this review. I tried everything, by even going into the T. V. menu to make adjustments if need be to no avail. I called the front desk to tell the attendant the issue and even mentioned I realized it was late which she immediately informed me of. I wanted to know since we paid full price was there any resolution we could agree upon. I asked if we could be discounted for the price of the room and the attendant very rudely told us we would not get any kind of discount... She continued to interrupt me mid sentence pointing out it was late and demanded that we just check out which was an unreasonable request given the time and the fact we had just checked in. She would not even give us another room and insisted they we just check out. She basically told us there was nothing she could do and continuously demanded that we just check out and stated that she wasn't going to do anything about it. All I could do at that point was deal with it and I remained calm and polite; I told her no worries I would take another avenue for rectification, and bid her good night. I plan on contacting the corporate office if I can but have a feeling the hotel was privately owned so it may be just my loss. The phone in the room had a Cabot Lodge label on it but the signage in front of the hotel has a different name... may try there. Noticed on back of T. V. that it was refurbished and hate to say it but unfortunately it looks like the next guest will be going through the same issue because even at checkout no mention of rectification was offered. Sorry but staff seemed arrogant and uncaring as long as you paid bill your comfort or satisfaction is a non issue because I guess they figure you don't have a voice. So buyer beware is all I can say and that honestly I feel booking companies shouldn't even list them it really makes them look bad that they would even suggest this hotel and I am hoping that the company listed on the phone label isn't affiliated with the hotel...if not they may want the hotel to remove their name immediately. You may review the pics I post and see for yourself... what type of resolution would you want ?

Room was very clean and the late-night receptionist was pleasant. However, the breakfast was very minimal and the pillows were lumpy. Overall, a decent room for the price if you need to just stay one quick night.

Great location on N. Monroe with easy access to all corners of the Capital. Always has been extremely affordable, and now newly remodeled and extremely comfortable and clean. The new staff has met every expectation and has done an astounding job of tending to any of the few requests, and are extremely polite and professional. Would recommend.

This was the worst hotel I have ever been to I checked in at the front desk I was getting two rooms I got to my rooms and neither one of the keys they gave me would open the doors to either room I had my kids and wife standing out side the room doors with all the luggage why I went back to the front desk to fix the keys and next thing I know this man came from the back room of the office started yelling at me that we had to leave because my kids were running around outside why I was trying to get the keys fixed. We had not been there no more then 5 minutes and if the room keys would have worked when we got to the room the kids would have been in the room and not outside but the gentlemen in the front office did not want to here that he was very rude and told me we could not stay there. I would not recommend anyone with kids to stay at this hotel and if you do have kids and the rooms key does not work then you better have a leash for you kids to tie up so they can't run around while you are in there trying to get the problem fixed.

The room and good for the price and nice bed to get rest and shower. Cons: only can pay with bank issued debit cards. No reloaded cards or credit cards. Definitely was an issue for my family and was not made aware of this after traveling hours here.

Great rates location good, not enough smoking rooms and make sure rooms are really ready to rent before giving them to a mew guest. But it dont matter, i was told by another guest at the continental breakfast that the property will close tomorrow 5/21/18
