Enjoyable stay. Yes, it’s somewhat expensive because Folly is no longer the poor island of Charleston. We have been coming to Folly for 30 plus years and it’s no longer unknown and less expensive. Breakfasts are nice but this is NOT A bed and breakfast but an Inn so it does not have the very fancy breakfasts one might have experienced. It’s a nice breakfast. This is a very good location near the state park - on that end of the island. We like this location others would like to stay closer to the town with the restaurants or the lighthouse end so when deciding you should take that into consideration. The staff will take you in a golf cart to the beach but if you are in health it’s walkable. That’s nice because in season parking on folly can be a problem. They have a wonderful sunset view from some rooms and for everyone at their common patio. The staff is very like able and friendly. They will help you if they are able to. We enjoyed our time and recommend.

Beautiful place! Views were lovely! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Quiet and peaceful. An easy walk to the beach. The bed was incredibly comfortable - so much so my hubby wants to buy one just like it! We really loved our stay.

Our one night stay at Regatta Inn was exact what I hoped for. Paige was wonderful! She explained all the amenities and checked on our comfort. The bed was so comfortable and the entire room was clean and immaculate. My favorite part was the screened deck! The breakfast was delicious and the beach is a 5 minute walk. The peaceful views made my birthday so relaxing!

I loved my stay at the Regatta! I was taking a few days to myself to relax and unwind. I booked the Olympus suite for two nights. It's a gorgeous room with gorgeous views. When I arrived, it was raining, and honestly it was still a gorgeous view. The soaking tub is amazing (pro tip, hot is cold and cold is hot lol).|I decided to extend my stay for a night and the Olympus was already booked, so I agreed to move into the Poseidon right next door. There was a jetted tub in there. There was a miscommunication about the price when I moved rooms (please note, I did not confirm the price, I checked online and made an assumption, that is my fault and not theirs). I addressed it before check out and they graciously refunded me a small portion for the night. Their kindness was deeply appreciated for my lack of confirmation. 🙏||Pros, cons, and tips -|Pros - the water views are to die for, the location is quiet but not only a short drive to restaurants, the staff are kind and caring. |Breakfast is fabulous. Bacon, sausage, fruit, muffins, fritatta, sausage sandwiches, coffee, orange juice, etc. And I'm a cute room with a view of the water. Beds are super comfy, though the fitted sheets wouldn't stay on in either room. ||Cons - the website said there was a happy hour and previous reviews mention them, but none were to be had while I was there. I'm a light dinner eater and had planned on making that my dinner. When I asked about it at check in, I was shown the wine in the fridge and told to help myself lol. I appreciated the glass but was more interested in the snacks. No big deal.|In the Poseidon room, the temperature was hard to maintain. The fireplace puts out a little heat, but the air conditioner machine thing would only go up to 70 and was very loud. I just ended up turning it off and turning on the overhead fan. Not ideal but not a deal breaker.||Tips -|Definitely suggest the Olympus room, and at a minimum a water view.|Get ready for the steps. By the time I checked out, I was used to it. I'm old and fat and could still do it lol.|I suggest Jack Of Cups for a meal. The perogies are to die for.|If you struggle to maintain body temperature like I do, maybe bring a blanket or something to help.||Last, I thought there was an injured bird on the private dock next door and stressed about it for two days because it wasn't moving. It's fake. 😂✌️ So now you don't have to stress about it too. It's fine. It's plastic and totally OK bwhahahaha.

Just got back from a Girls Trip having stayed at the Regatta and we LOVED it. Zoe and Paige were both awesome and kind. Not to mention helpful with suggestions. Took advantage of the Happy Hour they offered while soaking in the incredible views on the terrace. Beds were comfortable and the place was quiet. Walls are thin, but with no kids (thank you!!!) we didn’t have any issues whatsoever. Thank you for the hospitality and I’m sure we’ll see y’all again soon. :)

I had my wedding at Regatta Inn earlier this month and it was truly incredible! We rented out the entire inn for our guests and they had the best stay. All of the employees went above and beyond for breakfast, happy hour, and any other needs we had. Shanika and her team made the wedding setup seamless and easy. I would highly recommend Regatta Inn for anyone looking to host their wedding. Thank you again to the wonderful staff for making our dream day such a success!

This was our fourth time at the Regatta and unfortunately it will be our last. Truly disappointed in how run down it has become and the quality of service and amenities had much to be desired. Breakfast was changed from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. but it was NEVER ready, and we finally went to a local restaurant to eat. There is supposed to be Happy Hour each day at 5:00 p.m. again, NEVER had it. There was wine in the refrigerator but nothing else as promised. Need to take these two items off your website. Lack of staff to help out. One day there was absolutely no one there after the morning. There was so much dust on the blinds and the wood slates around the jacuzzi tub they were almost white. There was mold on bathroom wall and around the shower door. The tiebacks on the curtains were frayed, carpet was in dire need of replacement. The best thing is the view. For the amount of money not worth it.

I had my wedding at the Regatta Sept. 16 and it was magical! The staff is wonderful, happy, and kind. Bonnie and her team of coordinators went above and beyond to make the wedding weekend perfect. The location and room were beautiful, and all of our guests keep raving that it was an unforgettable evening at a stunning place.

The mini quiche! Yes! We ordered a mocha caramel cappuccino. Love it. Yummy. Our furry friend was allowed in while we placed our order and served a pup cup.
