Fondly remember eating Savoy's many times when I lived in the St. Paul area. Pizza has a unique sauce with a little kick to it and the sausage was in big, savory, bite-sized chunks. Amazing amount of topping compared to the crust. Even with the thin crust the pizzas are deceivingly heavy due to the generous amounts of cheeses and meats. We were thrilled to discover there was a new location in Blaine. Definitely take advantage of the Monday Discount and order a Red's House Special! Eastsider adds sauerkraut to this and is surprisingly delicious!
My favorite pizza in the USA. I love pizza, ive had many places, but for the last 10 years I only get savoy. The downtown original has closed and left us, like red himself, but he'd be proud of the pizza served from this and the Eden Prairie locations!
The original was great! These "pop-up" shops lack the quality this great pizza place had once upon a time. The cost for what you get is crazy... These are not "SOTA" style pizzas either. The bottom crust looks like it was cooked on a conveyor belt oven. Like Dominos if you will. Never again.
I love the flavor and real cheese on Red Savoy's pizzas. My only complaint would be the high prices and square cuts. I also ordered an Italian Salad this last time, and they were out of dressing so I had to buy my own. Bad planning on their part.
Wow. Just like I remembered from the original store in St. Paul. Usually we can eat a thin crust large no problem. Not this time... we maybe ate 1/3 if that. The side salad was great too.
I went there on a Saturday afternoon. There was no one else there waiting. I tried to read the menu but it changed screens so fast I couldn't. I tried reading the menu on the counter but it was small print and it was dark in there. The temperature in the restaurant had to be 90 degrees. I ordered 2 16" pizza's and 2 boxes of wings. I only got one pizza and had to wait for the second as they forgot and it was a 14" not a 16". They forgot to make a pizza. I was there 35 minutes. I won't be back, ever!
I grew up on the East Side of Saint Paul. This pizza is the shizz….worth every penny. Is it more than I’d like to pay? Yes it is, but it’s worth the toppings and thin crust!
Worst pizza place in town, the pizza is like a gallon of grease. And look at this photo from when I got it the first time.
