Cool plantation! Free entry and parking. $10 for a guided tour which is the only way to see the inside of the house. But you can walk into the visitor center and the enslaved quarters and around the property for free. Gorgeous trees all around and history on the plaques inside the visitor center and enslaved quarters and around the property.

Had an amazing guided tour with our group. A big thank you to our very knowledgeable and engaging guide, Matthew. Having someone with such a great passion for history and the eagerness to share it with the public made everything we looked at come alive. It is highly recommended to go with the guided tour, as this is the only way to view the inside of the house.

Beautiful historical site that is well worth the stop. We didn't have time for the tour but you can still walk around the beautiful grounds and enjoy the serenity. Nice rangers in the visitors center!

Redcliffe Plantation is a great historic site. The first thing we did when we got there is go on the mansion tour. Our tour guide was helpful and explained to us the history of the place and showed us older phots that were taken in the 1800s. The mansion is beautiful and I definitely recommend the tours. After that, we got our park stamp at the office. The office was well-kept and there were 2 rangers inside. Then, we left the office to walk the trail, even though it was raining. The trail is open and very easy to follow, with beautiful views throughout. We saw a velvet ant, which is a bright-red beautiful wingless wasp, however they can sting, so be careful. Then, we kept walking to the pond and saw a large dragonfly which I quickly caught just to get a picture, then released it. The pond was beautiful and the best part of it was the thousands of tiny frogs hopping around it, everywhere! They were no longer than 1 inch long and there were seriously thousands of them. Overall, this place is a great place for anyone - history fans, nature lovers, hikers, entomologists... anyone!

Had an awesome tour today lead by Duke. We learned so much and there wasn’t even one of our questions that he couldn’t answer. Absolutely recommend Radcliffe Plantation tour to anyone who likes to learn about history.

We enjoyed our tour and history lessons with Ranger Brandon. He eloquently delivered a wealth of information about the plantation and the families that lived and worked there for more than 100 years. The tour is primarily focused on the house, slave quarters and the people and relationships of the ones that inhabited them. Some of the stories are jaw dropping. We walked the entire grounds including the trail through the woods, magnolia alley, stables and visited the store. They have a nice assortment of souvenirs.

My second visit a late weekday afternoon one on one tour with a very knowledgeable Ranger. The history of the site is well documented for all to scrutinize and learn from. The multiple brides being photographed on the grounds bares witness to the beauty of the location

This place was so touching and amazing. I was so impressed with how they have retained documents, handwritten ledgers and letters, and the history of the plantation, the family and the slaves. The slave family generations that stayed on after emancipation as laborers for decades was very fascinating. I was saddened and had a heavy heart as I saw the ledger with slave names and their dollar values listed. It is so amazing to see how they considered other human beings as property, not people. I can't fathom how another human can be seen as property. It is so good that they have preserved this type of history for the education of future generations. We can never allow this history to repeat itself. Amazing place!

Jas was an excellent server. There was a short wait for a table, but it was Sunday morning. They were out of grits, but we all chose hashbrowns
