Stephanie at the front desk was great! She was friendly, and knowledgeable about the area… even got my tv working! Amy, the massage therapist was also fantastic- a must for any visitor! The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows to choose. I would definitely stay here again!
Several friends and I stayed at this hotel with a yoga group last weekend and can't say enough good things about our stay. The staff were amazing (especially Dakota). The hotel and rooms are clean and well maintained. We were very comfortable and I would definitely stay here again. Access to Capitol Reef is also super convenient. The Spa is also great with lots of options and services to choose from.
The beds are very comfortable. This is a quiet time of year there so the hotel was quiet; no competition for the hot tub. Loved having a nice blanket to use when out watching the sunrise. Board games and coffee/fruit in the lobby area. The special Thanksgiving meal was marvelous! Easy drive to Capitol Reef.
Highly recommend this hotel! Great location and amenities. Felt safe here as a solo female traveler. Special shout-out to Amy at the spa for going the extra mile to make my massage and spa experience that much more special and memorable. In fact, all of the staff were kind and hospitable. The waitress and host at The Rock cafe (restaurant in the hotel) was also very welcoming and delivered excellent service (unfortunately I never got her name)! Wonderful hotel and would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in the area.
The hotel staff, especially Dakota and Hanna, were exceptional, ensuring a pleasant stay. However, the older style of the building, lack of modern room tech such as new TVs, lack of good lighting such as over the coffee pot, with inconveniently placed switches, are drawbacks. Cleaning staff was great, but the second day they did not refresh the shampoo or makeup remover towelettes. Minor things, but this hotel cost quite a bit more than other area hotels. The bathroom light switch is in the entryway, there is not a light over the coffee pot so if you are the first to get up you need to use your phone light to make coffee...The comfortable beds and stunning mountain views were great. While the breakfast and meals are not anything I can recommend, a fantastic breakfast deli nearby offered an excellent alternative. Also on the plus side, the indoor hot tub and pool were ideal for relaxation, especially during the cold weather. Unfortunately the hot tub did not work for most of our stay. The water would not heat up and Jets would not come on. However this was finally resolved. Staff at the hotel do a great job and work with what they have. Solid older hotel to use as home base for the park.
Stayed at this hotel in November 2023 with my brother and went back again in December 2023 with my husband.||Great location near Capitol Reef National Park.||Facilities (bedroom, swimming pool/jacuzzi, restaurant) are clean. Staff member, Stephany, at Front Desk and server, Kayon, at the restaurant are pleasant and helpful. Food in restaurant is tasty. ||Room price in December 2023 is less than room price in November 2023
Conveniently close to Capitol Reef National Park. Easy check in and nicely decorated throughout. They even have a dark sky patio to catch the beautiful stars outside! They have seating and blankets to share to keep you warm outside. The restaurant was convenient but the service was a bit slow. I would definitely stay here again!
Check in was great! Felt welcome and they answered my questions. I had a Spa Appointment and it was AMAZING!!! Amy made me feel comfortable my whole appointment and is wonderful! Then I ordered food from the Restaurant….TERRIBLE! I ordered off the App just after 4:30 and had my food scheduled to be ready at 6pm. I went to get my food and it wasn’t ready. She told me to come back in 25 min. I was a little annoyed but I understood and came back. My food was still not ready. I waited around for another 20 min and finally got my food. Got back to the room and opened the containers. It looked awful and they forgot several items. I had to go back down to the Restaurant. No breadstick with the Alfredo, No salad, the Burger was tiny with just a huge bun. No condiments on it and HUGE chunks of onion. I got the side of Chips and Queso. I got a bunch of broken chips and Salsa not Queso. I ordered the Cheesecake and it was a sloppy mess inside the container. By the time we actually sat down to eat we were just over it. Ruined our whole great experience we were having unfortunately.
This place was absolutely perfect for me. The room was clean and nicely decorated. I thought the curtains to close off bathroom area is a classy touch. The hot tub was fabulous, the gym looked nice although I didnât find time to use it. The ONLY is
We stayed here during the off season to visit the park. This was an easy place to drive back and forth from. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. There was not a lot for food options being off-season but we had a microwave and refrigerator in
This was the BEST small town hotel find that I have stayed in!!! It was so cute, WELL kept, CLEAN, everyone was so inviting, has views for days, and the best part is the super comfy bed. Also there are 2 AMAZING restaurants right there on site to pic
This hidden gem is remarkable! It has beautiful landscapes and the views from the ranch were incredible. We had a bungalow for the weekend that came with all the amenities. Pool area, sauna, hot tubs, and gym are included as well as outdoor firepits
OMG DISSAPOINTED!!!!! Disappointed that It took me this long to try their food. It's incredibly delicious. THE BEST Mexican food I've ever tasted so far. If you are in the Capitol Reef area, you have got to come to this place. Great food, their dri
Very cool schoolhouse. Outside of the park. We listened to a recording at the blacksmith shop who talked about the Fruita children attending a one room school house. When we left the park we drove back to the school house assume listened to its recor
The pizza was very good! Sloppy Joe was not anything ordinary. We would skip it if you're thinking about getting it. The meat ball sub was very good! There is seats inside or outside. Beers are available and music. It is family friendly.
The hospitality was amazing. We got in the doors thirty minutes before closing and they welcomed us in happily. We were traveling a long time and were starving and were happy to get a warm meal. The server was super friendly. The food options were ta
