We have dined at the Red Salt Room in the Garden City Hotel at least a half dozen times over the years and have always had solid experiences. We stopped by for the Sunday brunch buffet today and were all blown away by the spread that was offered. It's was one of the best buffet offerings that we have ever experienced. I couldn't recommend Red Salt Room's Sunday brunch highly enough. It was special!
Everything was perfect, from our valet to the hostess. The hostess definitely made me feel welcomed.. The atmosphere was breathtaking, the luxurious looks…. It was top tier!!! Our server Mary was as impeccable she was truly a gem, very knowledgeable and amazing. Our dinner was prepared to perfection, everything we had was amazing! The lemon drop was just right…. I wasn’t even focused on taking pictures or videos before I eat, I was truly excited to eat… It was such an amazing dining experience which I will cherish forever!!!! Thank you.
I would not recommend attending Red Salt Room Tea. Very expensive for what you get. Limited effort in creating dishes for the Traditional, Royal and Vegan/Vegetarian options. Very surprised and disappointed. We have been to many other tea events, including The Plaza in NYC and there is no comparison. However, on a positive note the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. 5/4/22 Thank you for your response to my review. The cost for this afternoon tea came to $234.26 for my mother, son and I. My mother had the traditional tea and my son and I had the vegan options. I will attach images to demonstrate what our meals looked like. I am sorry to say but for what we paid this is not customary. I usually do not write reviews unless the experience was exemplary. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review as I understand how powerful they can be. We eat out often and had higher expectations for this culinary experience. Please review what was provided to us to see if our plates met the claims of the menu offered. My son and I had only one dessert choice (chocolate covered strawberries), not seven, as stated. As for the sandwiches I’ll let you evaluate by reviewing the pictures. I appreciate your offer in granting us another opportunity to come in for an Afternoon Tea Service but will graciously decline.
I have celebrated many special occasions here under previous management and the current. Sumptuous and just lovely. Prices have doubled since my first visit. Quality is worth it. Trust me: if I win a major lottery, I would be there monthly. No matter who takes care of the service, each one is better than the other, attentive and gracious. A close friend asked to be taken to the Sunday brunch for her birthday next month. Of course!
FIRST OFF~ BRUNCH~ ONE WORD ~~ AMAZZZZZING!!! ~ I wish I was able to eat more! This brunch is quite the experience! The food that is available was DELISH!!! I know it’s on the pricier end but just hear me out~ you MUST TRY IT!! It is SOOO WORTH IT and GOOD!! I will admit my pics are not the best. Why you may ask? Because I was TOO BUSY EATING and didn’t want to snap pics of all the delectable food spread as I didn’t want to have to carry my phone and snap as I was contemplating between a lobster tail or claw. Yes! I’m serious! Then try deciding that with a full plate while carrying a full cup of melted butter (yayyyy~ for my lobster) and AMAZE cocktail sauce for my shrimp! Yes~ ~ I know a realworld dilemma over here 😜🥰. PLUS~ this ain’t your free alcoholic brunch beverages where it’s all OJ for your mimosa and Tomato juice for the bloody Mary’s! NOPE!!! Which made the price SO MUCH MORE WORTH IT!! Forget 20 watered down drinks! I’ll take just 2! My waist will thank you and so will my room for food! PS~ also LOVEEE LOX~ YUP~ there too, octopus salad, raw bar~ and my VERY FAV~ almost addictive rainbow cookies! ~ had about 5! ~ GO!! EXPERIENCE!! ENJOY~~~~ 💪🏻💪🏻💖😘
We had an amazing experience for Long Island Restaurant Week. The setting is dark and beautiful. Very romantic. The food was superb. Just the right amount. Delicious and fresh and visually stunning. The drinks were out of this world. We had the Dragon fruit Margaritas. Dessert was an amazing palate party for us, loved the three choices. Kudos to the chef and wait staff, they were all amazing. Thanks for a wonderful time.
This was our first time dining at the Red Salt Room (and definitely not the last time either). The restaurant itself is very cozy and romantic. From the minute you walk in, you’re pleasantly greeted. Our server, Lianna, was wonderful. Lianna made great suggestions for drinks and was very kind & attentive. Our dishes were delicious, and we especially LOVED the clothesline bacon! 5/5 stars for sure!
We had the pleasure of partaking of Christmas lunch at Red Salt Room, the experience was beyond our expectations. Excellent service, beautiful presentation, plates presented as beautiful works of art. The food tasted as good as it looked!!!
