i stayed one night and was charged again a couple days later. it’s been over a week and i haven’t received a refund, nor have i gotten the refundable deposit back. a $93 dollar room has cost me $400 at this point. the front desk is unable to help you when you call, only telling me to contact my bank. i do not recommend staying here.
Finally a hotel that is worth the price! The only thing I could critique is the walls in the bathroom could use a scrub. Beds were clean and comfortable we had a nice quiet nights sleep.
My wife and i stayed at the Irondale, AL location Thursday night May 16th, 2024. We arrived and checked in around 9:30pm. We went straight to our room (#201) "Premium Smoke-free King Room" and prepared to settle in for the night. Tried to turn on tv, but no luck. No manual power button located on tv and remote would not turn it on. Called front desk and she came to our room with no less than 5 remotes, trying to get 1 of them to work, to no avail. She apologized and left. We went to bed. Woke up Friday morning and my wife told me there was no "shower gel" in the wall mounted dispenser, so she showered with the round bar of facial soap. Before my shower i tried to pump "hand soap" into a plastic cup from the wall mounted dispenser above the sink. Same result, EMPTY! So i showered with what little "shampoo / conditioner" i could coax out of the shower dispenser. Almost in a state of disbelief at the luck we were having, the icing on the cake was when we checked out Friday morning at 7:30. Our plan was to take advantage of the free coffee and breakfast as advertised when the room was booked, and were told by front desk staff that breakfast is no longer served at this location. Calgon, Take Me Away!!! We have stayed at this location previously, with pleasant results, but never again.
This 2 star Hotel deserves its 5 star review. The location is very close to every store in town, .8 miles from wal mart and walking distance from convenient stores. Check in was very easy , booked through Expedia months ago and the lady at the front desk was very polite and accommodating. Rooms were astonishingly well kept and clean, hard floors so easy to keep clean and nice beds clean sheets. Saved a fortune compared to the competitions prices. Stayed on third floor but have elevator and small easy to use staircase as well. Cant beat the best deal in town. If your coming to Irondale come stay here and save some extra cash for other expenses! Well done Red Roof!
My wife and I chose this hotel for the race weekend at Barber. We'll never stay here again. The house keepers children sound like romper room till 10PM on the floors above. We brought this to the front desks attention to no avail. We got 2 - 3 hours of sleep the nigh before the race. We returned after the race to get some rest before the 5 hour trip home. We called to try and change our room. We were told the tenants with the children had left. They had not. The banging continues. We are pissed..... 4 calls to the front desk. Nothing changes. Never stay here.
An exceptionally clean, recently-updated and well-maintained Red Roof Inn. Quiet & comfortable rooms, everything works. Front desk staff is welcoming. Unexpected things like fluffy towels, hair dryer, 85+ TV channels and a ripping WiFi. The housekeeping team gets an A.
This was one of the cheapest hotels located in Birmingham area (besides motel 6, etc) I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness for the price. No bed bugs (my husband was military and thoroughly checked) the rooms were clean. We did upgrade the room to the newer ones. Bed wasn’t the greatest, but wasn’t horrible either. The parking lot was VERY well lit at night. No loud noise at night. No breakfast and pool wasn’t open which wasn’t a big deal to us (and we read in review so we knew beforehand) plus no pet fee! No this isn’t a luxury spot but we just needed a place to sleep and keep our dog during the soccer tournament. I’d stay here again along with my husband, who is kinda picky when it comes to hotels said he would as well!
Stayed here while heading back to Florida after a weekend trip. Check in process was amazing- the host was very friendly. The things that the bad reviews complain about are things that are very blatantly advertised in the lobby, so the accusations of “false advertising” make no sense to me. There is no breakfast and there is a security deposit- both things that are clearly advertised on MULTIPLE signs when you walk through the door. But it is right next door to a Waffle House if you need cheap eats in the morning.
As far as the negatives, there were not many for me. The bed was a little lumpy and there were a couple roaches, but due to the pretty outstanding cleanliness of the room I would chalk the bugs up to the cold weather. It just happens when they are seeking warm shelter. There were no bedbugs which is really all I care about. Overall a comfortable and quiet place to crash for the night.

This Home Depot may be smaller than some but it is very well staffed with friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable people. The employees were willing to stop, answer questions, and even take me to the item I was looking for. Very pleasant experience.
Back in 1983 there was a Sneaky Pete's place a few hundred yards from the high school I attended. The highschool cafeteria was like a Turkish prison but not nearly as nice.
So, without permission,, I would stroll to Sneaky Pete's most days at lunch.
great food! paid $15 for an 8 pc boneless wing meal with a giant portion of coleslaw that filled just about half my to-go box. they give you the bang for your buck, one meal could feed 2 people depending on what you get.
