Red Roof Inn Wildwood, FL - The Villages - Hotel in Wildwood - 345 FL-44, USA

We stayed here so that we would be near Crystal River for a manatee tour in the morning. The rooms were clean and tidy. The a/c worked great! It was nice and freezing, just the way I like it! I will say the sinks are a bit awkward as the faucet barely reaches into the sink and gets water all over the counter when washing hands or brushing teeth. And the shower/tub toilet room is kinda small but the water was nice and hot and everything is functional. The shower head is non adjustable and sprays all the way to the back wall so I had to turn the water off to wash up or wash my hair. No big deal though, just sharing for informational purposes. The room was a double bed, not too much space and not too little space. Our room had a little fridge and a microwave, the fridge had a freezer and a fridge part, that was nice as we had a cooler full of stuff and our ice pack was just mush when we arrived. There is an IHOP attached to the lobby so there is decent food nearby. My only real complaint is the floors are really dirty., after we showered our feet were very dirty from just walking around the room barefoot. So wear socks or something when walking around the room if you don’t want your feet blackened by the dirty floors. My biggest praise would be the gentleman at the front desk that checked us in and the other employees we encountered were very nice and accommodating. This was a very pleasant stay, worth the $70. I’ve stayed in very fancy places and super cheap motels, this is a great budget stay and you won’t get attacked by bedbugs!

Customer service was good no complaints, but on the other hand my room was littered with lovebugs dead and alive, not a huge deal but that's the first thing you see when you walk in. Then this morning I happened to notice a SYRINGE 💉 under the bathroom sink and that's where I draw the line. Please do better management and housekeeping.

Good experience. Made same day booking online. We needed a place to stay last minute and we were traveling with our Rottweiler. This motel allows all dogs. Rooms were recently painted, updated click together flooring (Thank you) ,furniture new, big tv and it was exactly as advertised. Sheets , towels , bedspreads all new. Check in process was seamless, friendly, and quick. Grounds were maintained. Pool was not operational. And there are still things that can be improved, but they concentrated the effort to make rooms comfortable and updated.

Despite the late Hour the guy working the graveyard shift had a very good demeanor and seemed to work his job with pride. He was very helpful depsite me stumbling through my words. Completed my check in process quickly and answered all my questions perfectly. ||Without hesitation he followed me out the door to tell me I had dropped all my cash on the floor. I was dead tired and wouldn't have realized it until I was Long gone the next day. Anybody I know would have kept the money in that situation, including myself to be honest. Finding cash is a treat. Man has a good heart and should be making more regardless of what he is paid.||Everywhere should have more people like Corey. Thank you sir.

Location is great for the 75 Chrome Shop show which was right next door. Thats where it all ends. When I originally booked this reservation back in December, it was a Motel 6 and I had also reserved a "companion room" which was suppose to be free of charge just like years previous when i stayed there. When I arrive to check in, i was told that they could not honor the companion room but would give me a room with two queen beds. Someone could have called me to inform me that a new franchise had took over and there are no companion rooms at Red Roof Inn. The floors looked as if they hadnt been mopped in months, the pool was disgusting and overall, the grounds just arent taken care of. Bed was just ok and was bug free. Seems to be homless people sleeping under the steps. It was a place to lay my head down at night to sleep after the truck show for two days. Thats about all I can say.

The only good thing about this place was the bed. The floors were filthy, the walls were filthy, there was disgusting hair in the sink drain , there were cigarette burns on the sink and tub, the shower was not caulked it was filthy . The nightstands were sticky and dirt had to wipe down. They need to actually clean these rooms not just a quick down .

The room has indeed been updated and was in good condition. The A/C on the other hand leaked all over the floor and was so noisy I had to turn it off to go to sleep. Also- I don't know if it was birds squawking but around 1 am there was this squawking noise that went on for over an hour. I didn't sleep well all night.

I was appalled because some men who were outside drinking beer had blocked the room we were receiving. We went to the front desk and asked for a different room. The second room had homeless people with a dog staying on the steps and had groceries and a bed under the staircase across from the room. We went to the front desk and requested a refund. This place was not appealing enough to stay.
