Red Roof Inn Springfield, IL - Hotel in Springfield - 3200 Singer Ave, USA

The people at the front desk were friendly enough but that is the only positive of the stay. Area is pretty sketchy and the area outside our room definitely needs some attention. Maybe not having random cinder blocks sitting around. The room itself was stinky, stains on the walls, did not look to have been cleaned before we got there. Bathtub still had standing water in it. I don't expect much from a Red Roof especially at this price but still a spectacular fail. We did not even stay the night and went somewhere else instead. So congratulations on making a quick buck off us, won't happen again.

It started bad from the beginning. Booked room through CapitalOne travel and Red Roof had my reservation but not the money and I had to pay again. Luckily, CapitalOne is the BEST and refunded me. Then they sent us to a room that had not been cleaned. Finally got a clean room and there was a punched hole in bathroom door, the fridge leaked on the floor, one of the keys did not work, had it rekeyed and did not work again. And of all things the smoke detector was missing. Should have found a Red Roof Plus because this was a Red Roof Inn Minus.

You get close to what you pay for. Prices are low and cleanliness is terrible. Room was in poor repair(toilet is very loose. Fridge is iced over. Room key has locked me out 3 times so far. The grounds are filthy and weeds are as tall as me...watch out for potholes too, and if it rains I get a puddle under the door. )and my room smells really bad like mold Pay the money. find a better motel.

Not a bad little motel. Guy at the front desk was very nice. Finding my room was confusing -- I didn't see any signage helping direct which number was located where, but eventually figured it out. Honestly the only downside to this place compared to others like it was that our room neighbor was L O U D and had cigarette butts and two six packs worth of empty bottles piled up in front of MY door. Surely there's a policy for that... I was tired enough that it didn't matter but it was still obnoxious.

Awful & cockroach infested. When checking in, staff told us that the system wouldn’t let him check us into our reservation unless we paid an extra $30 bc when we booked, the price was lower than what they typically charge? Didn’t make sense to me but I didn’t have the energy to fight it. When we got to our room, we were greeted with cockroaches crawling around near the dressers and the floor, and other bugs on the bathroom floor and walls. Was looking forward to showering after a long day but the dirty, bug filled bathroom made me feel like I was going to feel more gross taking a shower than just not. We contemplated just leaving but it was 12:30 AM and I didn’t think I’d get refunded my $100 I spent for the room and didn’t want to have to pay more to sleep for a few hours. Wish I would have paid extra to stay somewhere else that was worth the $.

Room was nothing like what was advertised on Travelocity. The room was dingy and dirty looking, the lamps were stained and burned. There was no smoke detector. We found a live roach near the microwave. We complained about the roach and were told that they would clean in ten minutes. We asked to be switched to a different room and that we didn’t feel comfortable sleeping there and didn’t want the bugs to crawl in our things. They insisted the bugs wouldn’t get in our stuff. They insisted they had no other rooms and that they would spray the room. While we were waiting for them, we found another dried dead roach. I’m only giving one star because I was required to put one.

The only plus was the bed was comfortable. When we checked in there were no towels in the room we went and asked for towels and they said they would bring some and never did. $250 is a lot of money to pay for a room with no towel. Also walls looked awful . This place is very sketchy in the evenings as well.

Was definitely not as advertised. Was double the price advertised on line. No working smoke detection, or phone. Bathroom door made you feel you were locked in as was warped so every time you opened it it made a loud noise. Holes both plastered over and not. Bugs! When one of us complained we got a no explanation and that's the last room available for us. We stopped here as Red roof has a great name. Will not be a gurst again!!!! Avoid if at all possible. I have not even listed all issues and we took photos! Was sooo bad reached out to corporate.
