Red Roof Inn Spartanburg - I-85 - Hotel in Spartanburg - 105 Jones Rd, USA

Positive: The hotel was at a very convenient location right off the interstate. The rate of $--- a night was good Negative: The hotel was miserably hot upon arrival and even through the hotel was overall clean there were bugs in the room (not bedbugs) I pulled the bedsheets down and there was a dead bug and a live bug in the sheets.

Traveling with 4 kids & it was super late, we decided to get a room here… If I could give ZERO stars, I would! So disgusting, I didn’t want my kiddos to touch anything! You can tell they do not clean like at all, the pool was closed & green, users hanging out on the balcony ALL night & still there the next AM! This is the condition we found our room in… Blood on the back of the door, AC barely worked, booger on the doorway, nasty microwave, Luigi on the door way, dirty fridge, the bathroom all together was grossss, the list goes on…

I really hate to say this, but this was 1 of the WORST places I have stayed in in a long time!! There was bugs, as you can see from my pic, the toilet rim when you lifted the seat STILL had pee stains on it, though I did not get a picture before I cleaned it with my own sanitizing wipes, I wished I had, and the bathroom door had a BIG hole in the bottom where someone had kicked it PRETTY hard trying to get at someone I guess, or was just mad and also my fridge leaked and had water on the floor in front of it big enough to have to put a towel down over it to keep from slipping in it. So needless to say I DID NOT get the relaxing, stress free night I SOOOO DESPERATELY NEEDED!!! Instead I had to clean my own dang room over with cleaners of my own and Lysol spray to be able to stay even 1 night. It was non refundable or I would have left and went somewhere else. It was hard to relax and enjoy my night there. It was also a VERY PLAIN room! I WON'T be back!!!

Rooms nice and clean inside. Brand new flooring in my room. Staff was VERY hospitable . Jus wish the door to room wasn't like 5ft from parked cars. Would rent again tho for sure.

I literally stayed there for 30 minutes because my granddaughter could not even use the toilet without putting a towel on it. We seen bugs on the bed and I was not willing to bring anything like that home. I did not record my granddaughter sitting on the toilet with, a towel on it to get a refund and I wasn’t thinking about recording it. I was just ready to get out. I had to call when I got in the office twice before I got somebody to come inside to check me in. The only reason I went to the hotel that was 30 minutes away, was because my power was out at my house and was going to be out due to high winds, and I didn’t want to be here with my granddaughter and no power ..I called and talked to a lady about my issue and she was rude and hung up because I guess she didn’t like what I said. .. didn’t want to be moved to another room because I wasn’t going to hop from one nasty room to another

This Red Roof inn caterers to the homeless population. soon as i pulled in i was ask if i needed anything at all he was trying to push his drugs on me. Then i got a knock at the door and a women asked me if i needed a date. you can see the drugs parking lot full of broken down old cars. It’s nice there helping the homeless but they should not be a hotel at the same time serving family’s and people. the rooms are trashed run down smell. Bugs all over the room rats the sheets are roped up on the bed with a nasty blanket and you can see the greasy hand prints on the towels just a down right nasty hotel red roof inn should hold there hotel owners responsible

Went to the one in Gaffney a little after 1am and was misinformed by the attendant about location. Went to the place where we booked and was told we had to re book the same room because the system doesn't reset till 4:30am. We were told by Expedia it would be 72 hours before a refund would be deemed "necessary". Been on the road for nearly 10 hours with our kids and it was getting late. The place smelled like rotten eggs and weed. Attendent tried to be helpful I get it it's late but still believe we shouldn't have had to double book. Will not be booking with RR inn again.
