Red Roof Inn Savannah - Richmond Hill/ I-95 - Hotel in Richmond Hill - 4494 US-17, USA

We're a displaced family from Morgan's Bridge due to the flood. We've been at this hotel for almost 3 weeks now. What this place lacks in over all cleanliness it makes up for with the amazing service, friendliness, acceptance and generosity of the staff at this location. The gentleman at the front desk has been nothing but charming, informative, and genuinely a great human being towards us. We did end up recleaning the room when we got here completely but that's due to me being a residential cleaning specialist for a living. Our room was plenty big, the restroom portion was recently renovated. It wasn't dirty, dirty when we checked in, but there is a lack of care for the entire property from housekeeping/staff in general overall. I guarantee housekeeping hasn't stepped foot in our room once and it will be left more clean than it was when we arrived. Oh yeah! We also have a 85-90 lbs, unaltered male, standard pitbull/bully, and they've been absolutely accommodating for us with him.

Do not waste your money. I rented a room here because it was close to my destination and I assumed Red Roof was a quality name brand. When I checked in the clerk was very nice and helpful. I was sent to room 101 and that's where the trip went south. The room looked run down and dirty, the shower/tub had corrosion of some type around the metal components. In addition the water control was hanging out of the wall. The room was supposed to be a non smoking room but the odor indicated someone had smoked quite a bit of marijuana in there. The door had been kicked in at some point and the frame was busted in multiple places. We stayed just long enough to book another hotel. The Red Roof customer service has agreed to refund one night but screwed me out of the first night. I would like to say again that the clerk was very pleasant and welcoming but the facility was run down.

PLEASE READ AND SEE THE PHOTO’S !!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! THERE IS MOLD…Unfortunately arriving late at night and tired, we decided to stay at Red Roof. It has been the worst choice we could had made. The front desk staff was friendly but what turn this upside real quick was the room. The pictures speak louder than what I could say. We as customers pay to stay at a clean place no matter the amount it’s paid a night. It’s ridiculous to feel like you have to cover yourself from head to toe in order to sleep. Then to top it off I didn’t see one single security camera on the premises. This is not a place to stay with or without kids. I will be leaving first thing in the morning and requesting a refund on the other night I paid for because there is no way I can stay here another night. ITS UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Super clean, comfy bed. Pool needed love, and no coffee for my coffee maker but for the money good restful stay. If you are headed to Savannah or the area you can save money. mid size fridge and microwave also clean and helpful. Staff was also friendly and professional.

BED BUGS!! DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE!!!! Just read the reviews. The rooms are nasty, the management staff is sketchy and rude. The company claims that cleanliness and guest satisfaction are their “top priority” however, when you cancel immediately upon arrival because you refuse to sleep with bed bugs and dirty, bloody sheets, you will not receive a refund! Obviously that’s not their priority, just what they advertise on their website so they can continue taking your money. These reports of dirty rooms date back for months, yet nothing has been done. Just the same ole standard response from corporate, pretending that they care. Clearly they do nothing to follow up. Hard lesson for me by not conducting enough research. Hopefully you can learn from my experience.

We entered the room and while the room was like any other standard room – my wife noticed that the sheets were yellow as if they had not been changed. The glass in the window was broken. I took the dog around for a walk and discovered that the entire property was strewn with garbage. An old sandwich was lying in the parking lot. A used band aid in the alleyway. Garbage cans that were overflowing. There were creepy characters sitting in their car smoking drugs. The pool was a green swamp with a tarp half hanging in the water and clearly out of commission. Again, dirt and garbage everywhere.|I went to the front desk, told him that we would not stay in this dirty place and asked for a refund. He apologized and explained that their maintenance man had broken an arm.|Was that supposed to be an excuse?||We certainly did not want to stay in such a horrible place and then proceeded to another hotel nearby – clean and wonderful.|We contacted Red Roof head office but they refused a refund as well. Will never stay in a Red Roof again.

Zombies walking around all night drunk and high, an unsecured hotel compound. Room dirty and cracked sink. Floor tiles lifting, horror show. Great location for a horror film...

The entire stay was miserable. The front desk guy was extremely slimy , wanted extra money to check in early , 20 dollars, because it was 2 not 3. The place was empty, so why make the paying customer wait. Totally unnecessary. I pointed out that when I made the reservation it was higher than advertised now. He would not cancel out the one I made on line and give me the now lower rate. He was extremely rude. We have stayed here several times a year for quite awhile. New owners have made it a definite no from now on. Dirty, broken lock, no coffee pot, no plastic or coffee cups, flat pillows. Dirty glass, bugs. Never again!
