Positive: The rooms were pretty clean. I did not encounter any bugs on my last stay of two nights. I didn't hear what was going on in the rooms beside me. Shower was love! They have an area outside with some stuff for the kids and a few grills to sit and wind down! Negative: The sheets were dingy however we take our own bedding anyways so it wasnt an issue for us however I know that other people do sleep directly on the hotel bedding.

Place was clean, guy working the counter was friendly enough and was able to get good sleep. It is located right off the I-95 and has a lot of restaurants around it, so that was convenient. Only issue I had was due to all the restaurants there are alot of dumpsters right behind them. They happen to come buy around 350am and the loud sounds of the trucks and the banging of the dumpsters woke me up and I couldn't fall back asleep. And it wasn't like there was 1 dumpster, must have been half a dozen in a row. Ended up getting only about 4 hours sleep after driving all day

I am writing to share my experience during my recent stay at the Red Roof Inn in Roanoke Rapids, which I believe is imperative for the management team to consider seriously. As an experienced traveler, I have stayed in numerous hotels across the country; however, my experience at your establishment was regrettably the worst I have encountered. First and foremost, the level of service provided was disappointingly subpar. The staff were not accommodating, and requests for assistance seemed to be met with indifference. Furthermore, I was dismayed to find that there was inadequate space for dogs to relieve themselves, which is vital for pet owners looking for a convenient place to stay. Most troubling was the maintenance of the facilities. Upon entering my bathroom, I was alarmed to discover black mold growing on the ceiling. This not only indicates a lack of proper cleaning but also poses serious health risks to guests. To add insult to injury, I often had to navigate through dog waste left in the hallways, reflecting a lack of respect for both cleanliness and the comfort of your guests. Such conditions are unacceptable in any hotel. Given these experiences, I regret to say that I cannot recommend the Red Roof Inn in Roanoke Rapids to fellow travelers seeking a pleasant and safe environment. I sincerely hope that immediate improvements will be made to address these issues, ensuring a better experience for future guests. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I paid $85 total including tax for this room. I was satisfied with my stay. Good price, decent value, comfortable stay, and there are many convenient stores and restaurants adjacent and nearby. The king bed room was small and had no closet. The floors did not have rugs but had a modern wood type flooring- not a problem. There is no in-room coffee. The room was attractive. Outside, the motel looks dated, especially considering the huge parking lot that is mostly unused. The property has no direct street frontage. There is a small sign and then you drive down a couple driveways to get to the motel. GPS helped me get there initially, but otherwise this entrance is easy to miss. I missed it one time myself. The lobby is attractive and breakfast is average- no hot breakfast. I was disappointed there was no decaf coffee anywhere in the motel. Overall- cheap, no frills, adequate, no big problems.

The price was the only thing I found acceptable about this hotel. To start, even though the hotel is conveniently located near many stores and restaurants, there is only one way in and out the parking lot...and onto a busy highway. My family was accosted by a man asking for money in the parking lot. Check-in is at 3pm, I arrived with my family at 3:45pm and the room wasn't ready. The housekeeper had to clean the floor and it left a strong bleach smell in the room. I noticed stains on the sheets. There was no soap in the bathroom or iron in the room. We had to ask for more washcloths and towels because there wasn't enough. There is mold/mildew growing in the wall...I could smell it, and being in the room triggered an allergic reaction. Every time we left the room and returned, it smelled musty. The continental breakfast was disappointing. Cereal, old muffins, and store bought oatmeal and grits packets loosely thrown into the bin. The bread was good. I should have asked for a different room or left the hotel all together.

I dont understand how it is they can say they have a pool. The pool is there yes, but if you're expecting to take a dip on a hot day, look for another hotel. The pool is filled with dirt, and kids play soccer in the fence that's supposed to be for the pool. The bed was comfortable if you dont have back issues. As stated in a previous review, there is only one sentence In and out of the hotel, but it is conveniently located by businesses. There is a Walmart right by the hotel, but there is a strange chemical smell when you walk through the front doors. It's enough to choke me up. I hold my breath when I enter. There is no side entrance, so you have to go through the lobby which is ok whatever. They have no elevator, so bringing up coolers is hard. Ours had to stay in the car in the 98° weather and got the whole back of the car wet with the condensation. If you are needing a quick place to sleep it's fine. But for a pool and activities I'd go across the street.

Im not giving 5 starts because there are like some things broken like the toilet on 1 side they just put something to cover it (room 223), the tv didnt work(room 222) and the shower fixtures were kind of loose (room 222) but for the price and being 2 starts it deserves it you can tell they are making an effort to keep things up to date. Housekeeping is doing a good job everything was clean and the bed sheets as well. All smelled clean. Other things like the nightstand that had usb charging ports and the lamps looked new, the beds were comfortable, towels look good as well and they have shower gel and shampoo dispensers that seem new as well. We didnt hear noises at all and the area looked safe even though we arrived by 11pm. Will definitely stay here again!

I had stayed here previously and it was a good experience. On this stay the bed had what looked like to me to be signs of bed bug activity, so I had to change hotels. The mattress cover had some stains that looked like there may have been blood that was scrubbed out and there was debris around the bottom of the mattress that I thought looked like bed bug droppings or casings. At the very least the bed was not very clean. The worker was nice about it and understood my concerns.
