I would give this hotel 0 stars if it would let me. The hotel was in a rough area. There was a canoe outside my room that looked like someone lived in it. The lock on our room door did not work. The room looked nothing like the pictures online. Cigarette burns in the bedding even though it was a non smoking room. It was dirty. Decided to stay for the night since we had already paid. Before 6:30am we woke up to the SWAT team and FBI pounding on doors. We got told we could leave the building by the cops. Cops were surrounding the whole building and there were 20+ in the hallway. We weren’t sure what kind of criminal was in the room next to ours but we sure didn’t feel safe. We had to exit through a door that was shattered. Tried calling to ask for a refund since we got evacuated by the cops. They told us multiple times to call back when the manager was working. Still hoping for a refund since we had to leave.

Positive: Absolutely nothing! This place should be shut down! Negative: It smelled of old cigarette smoke and strong body odor. The AC controls in the room were off, the tv didn?t work. There was no microwave or coffee pot , so no way to heat water. The bathroom floor was filthy, and half the outlets didn?t work.

Are no stars available. This was the worst hotel stay I have had. No ac in the lobby the pictures online are a lie the rooms are horrible the homeless people living out back people begging for money if you went outside asking for cigarettes. Definitely didn't feel safe at all. To get towels took all day dust on the walls paint chipped blood on the wall in the bathroom shower head leaked from where it attached at. Floors were wet in the hallway from leaking toilets. The pool was disgusting. They would be better off shutting the place down.

I know it’s a cliche, but if I could give this place 0 stars I would. As soon as you walk in the front door, the smell of weed and cigarettes hits you in the face hard. The whole hotel smells like smoke. For a non smoking hotel, it sure smells like a college bar. Honestly, I don’t know how this place has any good reviews, it’s a literal roach motel. I had multiple roaches in my room. The smoke detector was just gone, the tv is this itty bitty thing that was probably $50 with a bulk discount. The air conditioner was missing one of the filters and never seemed to get quite cold enough. The paint was falling off the walls. Oh, and the area it’s in made me concerned I’d wake up to my car being missing, broken into or on bricks. I could go on and on, but hopefully you get the point. Stay somewhere else!!

Extended stay due to break down. The room was clean, but worn down. Fridge on freezer mode only, but microwave works. The direct TV likes to go down here and there, but wifi is great. If you are smoke sensitive, I'd pass lol. The gentleman at the front desk is wonderfully polite and quick to address any issues. The maids were lovely. Quick to grab extra towels, etc. There's 3 other hotels surrounding us, two blocks away, a Taco Bell, shell gas station, and an insanely stocked liquor store in tiny store lol. I've been here over a week and have had no issues with the locals, and generally the hotel itself is pretty quiet. All in all, isn't horrible being stuck here. Could be worse.

We went here April 5th Friday, mainly because we couldn't find any other hotel close by to go to. We should have just opted to pay more and gone for a better hotel. First off, this is the Red Roof Inn at Frenchmans Lane, not the Prichard location, that we wanted but was full. As we entered in the evening, the lady at the front desk really couldn't be bothered to greet us. Instead, she kept talking on the phone, and just pointed to where we needed to put our credit card, and then put the phone down for a moment just to tell us where our room was. Upon entering our room, I noticed that our bedding was never changed - there were lipstick marks and other odd stains. Immediately, I went back to the front desk, and she promptly came and gave us new bedsheets. The second wasn't great either, but it was bearable. Next, please see my pictures to see the repairwork that is desperately needed in the bathroom - there was grout never cleaned, mold on the walls and all over the tiles in the bathtub! It made us queasy even to use the room, but how were we to guarantee that all the other rooms were not like this too?? It didn't help our mood that there were no restaurants nor grocery stores open past 8:30pm, so we sat in the bedroom hungry and annoyed at all this! If you're going to be running a hospitality-based business - then MAINTAIN being hospitable and run your business with proficiency and be clean above all!! Otherwise, you will lose your business, as you've lost us.

This place is a scam and a dump. I booked a 2 bed queen non smoking. At check in I was told there are no queen rooms available because they are remodeling. They still show queen rooms on the website. The entire hotel smells of smoke with smoke hanging in the air in the hallways. Our blankets had cigarette holes. Smoke detectors in our room were removed with wires hanging : FIRE CODE VIOLATION . The rooms look nothing like the website. Only had 2 bath towels. Was told by multiple people at the front desk that they can’t give us more towels, even though we have 4 adults in our room. Tooth paste on the bathroom walls. This hotel is nothing more than a short rental for drug users. People up all night yelling, drug users in the parking lot. Do not stay here. I’m sure I’ll get the generic response from Red Roof saying they will pass my concern along to somebody. Yeah sure they will. Read the other reviews and you see these issues repeating.

No guests allowed so my people were turned away when coming to visit to bring me money for my return home... I was not made aware of this policy at check in cuz i wouldn't stayed there Then the girl says " there's a sign" and asked where, and she says "in the back door" ... I'm so sorry I came in the main doors and lobby instead of going to the back of the hotel first!??? Very rude , the ac leaked water all over the floor and have never EVER stayed in .... And won't stay in.. a hotel that doesn't allow visitors ESPECIALLY WHEN I AM VISITING FROM OUT OF TOWN AND HAVE FRIENDS CONING TO SEE ME OR PICK ME UP FOR DINNER AND STUFF!!! Last I checked I was an adult and if I. Paying 75 bux a night to stay there then I should be able to have a friend over, dad!!!
