Red Roof Inn Jackson North - Ridgeland - Hotel in Ridgeland - 810 Adcock St, USA

To get the positive comment out of the way...we had a chair. We didn't dare sit in it. Where do I start? The door had been previously kicked in. There were no lights or doors in the bathroom. The bathroom sink leaked onto the floor. There were dead bugs everywhere. Now the drawers. There was a soiled rag in one drawer. Another person's clothes, including muddy work boots, were in another drawer. And the "icing" on the cake...an empty package of male enhancement pills and a mystery bag that we were not brave enough to open. Our dog was even too disgusted to stay there, so we promptly left.

I made my reservation via expedia and checked into room #136. As soon as I walked into the room something appeared to move behind the minifridge. I moved the mini fridge just a little to peer behind it and roaches went running everywhere. The room was infested with them from what I saw and one started climbing the wall. I whipped out my camera to record because I knew I would be canceling my reservation and I didn't want any pushback from expedia. I checked out. I'm allergic to roaches per my allergist .. yes they check for them as it's a common pest.. and I find roaches totally gross. I've slept in my car before when the hotel room had them. I had stayed in this hotel before and never had those issues but I was in the nicer rooms up front. I noticed the more you stay the owner seems to put you at the back where the rooms are not nice. In addition to roaches, the door was battered with peeling paint and it had huge gaps around the door where you could see the outside when it was closed. The ac unit was filthy and old and didn't seem to be cooling the room well. If you stay here - make sure the owner puts you up front. No where around the back.

Positive: Location - the rest of the experience sucked Negative: Most everything - manager was rude, no doorknob for the room entrance, water spigot almost fell to floor when I touched it, the bed emitted a loud thump when I sat on it, windows were so filthy barely need the drapes. Left at 2:00am.

Just got here. I should’ve went to the Richland location. What a shame. Room is not clean, and smells. I’ll be here for an entire week. Just can’t find quality rooms anymore.☹️…

Filthy floors tub microwave. 1/2 roll t.p ,.tissue and food on floors vents hanging off the wall.

Paint/ spackle peeling off the ceiling. Rusted light fixtures. Rusted furniture handles. Loose faucet base. It is not the fault of Red Roof that I had a horrible neighbor who was loud until they left at 11pm, then upon return at 3am they were loud again and playing music again. They played their stereo, and it came through the jack and jill door worse than other places I have been in.

Came here for 4 days for work. The area is quiet. The front desk men Mr. Ed was very nice and made our check in fast. The water is nice n hot. Rooms were cleaned daily. The only issue was our door was not staying closed but the owner fixed it. It was affordable

I’m not looking for much from a Red Roof Inn except for somewhere to sleep that is clean. We booked this location solely for one night to break up a road trip. It looks clean from pictures, but had some issues:||Pros:||• Location – just off the freeway, a very short drive to supermarket (Walmart).|• Room has a microwave and fridge.|• Inexpensive for 1 night’s stay||Cons:|• The bed had various bugs crawling around. Not bedbugs, but not pleasant to encounter. Spent a good while trying to get rid of them.|• The light above the sink area flickered constantly when on. |• The tap on our sink wobbled lots – not very sturdy at all.|||Probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again, though was just about OK for one night.|
