Red Roof Inn Dothan - Hotel in Dothan - 3285 Montgomery Hwy, USA

We stayed here for a weekend during a baseball tournament. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and there was even a sweet note left on the table for us. Front desk was polite. Only thing was it says breakfast included showing a picture of the dinning room but it wasn't open. Looking inside it looks like they are opening new equipment. We received brown bag that included items perfect for what we needed something small and simple.

So I should have known that a red roof in 3 star motel would have issues. The issues I got, the toilet anytime you flushed it, it flooded the bathroom. The shower curtain rod wasn't even hung up, as soon as you went to move the curtain the rod wanted to come off the wall. We got a non smoking room but there were cigarette butts everywhere infront of the room. We got a double queen room, one bed for us and then the 2 littles could share the other. Well needless to say the other bed had soiled sheets. The kids ended up staying at the grandparents. They asked why I didn't say something to them when I checked in. We just dropped the stuff off at the hotel and headed out. What they're saying is we should have thoroughly went through the room to make sure it was up to our satisfaction before we left to head to the grandparents when that was the whole reason we were visiting Dothan. The best thing was it was right off the main strip. If you don't expect quality when staying somewhere this is the perfect place to stay. The staff is no help, the manager is never there. I've waited 4 days for a call back. I should have taken photos but that slipped my mind as it was set on trying to salvage the days and have a good time.

Stayed overnight. Did not realize our son had put the ps5 controller in my husband's bag until we were checked in. Accidentally left it and called the hotel, immediately after realizing, and the lady at the front desk was rude and snappy, saying "no one found it, you didn't leave it here!" Which is ridiculous because we didn't leave the hotel, at all, until we checked out. Left my name and number and she said to not expect a call back. Very unprofessional customer service. Also, the water pressure in the shower was barely above a trickle. Overall, not worth the rude attitude after.

Frequent Red Roof customer, so I know it's not going to be a palace but this location is something else. Booked a nonrefundable room through Expedia as a stopping point on a trip down to Florida. Upon arrival the ground outside the room was littered with discarded chicken bones and other garbage. Inside, the floor had grass clippings and other debris, skid marks in toilet, dirty sink mirror, hair in the tub, sink stopper broken and left on the sink, bed lights didn't work.... No way did we feel the cleanliness was worth risking a sleep in the bed. We asked the front desk for a refund so we could go somewhere else instead and were denied; couldn't contact management. Rather than waste time arguing we decided to cut our losses and book at the nearby Best Western. Lost our money to this dump but whatever. Recommend hard pass unless you are super desperate for something resembling shelter.

This is the worst room I've ever been in -The floors, tub, bathroom are all dirty -I just saw roaches running around -There are guys hanging out outside playing really loud music and it's 11:30 at night. I will never stay at another red roof inn again. I can't sleep! I'm debating whether to wake my 3 yo and just go somewhere else, but I'm kind of scared to go outside right now. Front desk seems not be able to hear me on the room phone.

Positive: The location was nice the pool was clean and satisfying.. Negative: The room was dirty there was hair all in the tub and the drain was disgusting.. the sheets were dingy and had stains and there was hair on the bed sheets.

We just stayed here and left a PS5 controller on the nightstand. Both my wife and I called the front desk to say "hey we left our PS5 controller! Its our son's and he put it in our bag to which we stuck to the side and forgot to grab it! Can we come get it back!". Instead the lady at the desk told both if us that they already cleaned the room and didn't find anything. This was my property that I left. People leave things other places all the time and GOOD HONEST PEOPLE RETURN IT TO THEM! I even offered to drive all the way back to get it. Someone cleaned our room and stole it. I paid 60$ for a really bad room and to have my property stolen. Because that's what this is. You took something that isn't yours. Never again will I stay here. My husband and I are down here for work at the Nuclear plant. We stayed the last week of March but We were planning on staying at least a month but we were KICKED OUT after communicating with them that we were getting paid a day later than expected. My husband told the girl at the desk a couple days before we were supposed to renew and she said "That's fine" When my husband went up there the day we were originally supposed to renew to tell them for the third time because they were blowing his phone up while he was at work that day the girl at the front contacted the management and they said we needed to leave. After he came back to the room to tell me this we were regrouping (having no money because he was getting paid THE NEXT DAY) My husband went outside to call his family to see if we could borrow some money and some man (I assume the owner or manager) was standing outside our door demanding we leave within 15 minutes!! Absolutely horrible behavior and couldve been handled better. We travel often and never have problems paying or negotiating with other Hotels. Personally I'll never stay here and I suggest you don't either unless you want to be treated like objects and not human beings. We slept in our car that night with two dogs and my husband havibg to work 12 hours the next day. Oh not to mention the tornados that came that night!! Waking up at 3am to sirens was wonderful. Managment is absolutely disgraceful.
