Red Roof Inn & Suites Detroit - Melvindale/Dearborn - Hotel in Melvindale - 17600 Dix Rd, USA

Made the mistake of staying here over the weekend. 1st staff was almost impossible to ever find. 2. The whole place smelled like marijuana. It's a no smoking place but obviously people smoke. Couple rooms smelled like cigarette ashtrays when you wake by 3. The same sketchy people hang out there and outfront everyday. Asking guests for money and "smokes" 4. Found out we weren't alone in our room. We had to share it with cockroaches. Really disgusting feeling and they won't do anything to make it right Red Roof Inn used to mean it's a good place. In this instance, it's just a cover for a crack hotel Do your family a favor and don't stay at this one

Literal nightmare. Wasn’t expecting anything fancy but the moment I walked in I was stunned. Closet rack was broken. Lamp shade was broken. Outlets didn’t work. There was some taco sauce or something all over the ceiling. I don’t even know how this place passed inspections our shower definitely had mold all over it. Paint was falling off every wall. There were three of us staying for two nights & we were only given two towels so we asked for more & the front desk informed us that they could not give us any more. Pro tip: don’t pull back the sheets & look the mattress if you want to be able to sleep. Looks like someone was murdered here.

Where shall I begin. The tv didn't work, the smell of weed was so strong, bums live there, oh and the best of all were the cockroaches. Trapped one in a cup in the bathroom. Still there so room service can see it. They were in the TV stand/dresser. Talked to the assistant manager, and showed her the video of it crawling. Also showed her the picture of the Trapped one. The parking lot is to small and enclosed. I don't know how the place can pass an inspection. Hope I get a refund. Scared to take my suitcase back in my house.

The staff was very friendly! On top of that, I had 0 complaints regarding the room. I was on a road trip and had to stop and rest because of other factors. Brady was the one who helped me out and I’ve never been greeted and treated so well at a hotel. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you, red roof inn!

Wifi NEVER works. Only one outlet worked in my room. Never come here if you plan on getting any work done... or even enjoying your down time for that matter.

Spacious room, very clean,awesome soft CLEAN bed, lots of channels if u like watching TV, coffee, clean bathroom, couch, I m just so satisfied with cleanliness coz I m always did a hotelstaff change sheets and this just felt right. I m really surprised that their rating is 3.6 coz u can see the pics its really not 3.5 but a 5

Guy who checked us in was very nice, rooms smelled, dirty walls and bugs inside the room. Breakfast sucked
