Red Roof Inn & Suites Calhoun - Featured Reviews (418)
This cute hotel was not only roomy. Very clean and very comfortable. As well as a very nice hotel. We got free breakfast which was awesome. And that staff Ronni was so polite and so helpful. He is a great asset employee to the hotel
Worst mattress ever. Clearly a wore out piece of crap that should have been in the trash years ago. Hurt our backs and we got no sleep. Our complaints were met with rudeness and lies from management about it being a new mattress. No apology offered. Had to fight and complain for a week to get 35% refund. Red Roof is owned by a hidden corporation that has no contact info. SKD Hotels, you suck!
This was an adequate place to sleep. Floors were clean, bed and sheets were clean. Room was clean, could use a little attention to detail for cleaning, such as backsplash by sink, around sink fixtures, toilet seat. However I am admittedly pretty picky when it comes to cleanliness. I would stay here again if we need a place to sleep. The check out lady in the morning was extremely friendly and offered coffee to us even though we checked out at 5:30 am.
The gentleman at the counter (evening shift) was friendly and kind. The hotel lobby is clean. For breakfast your options are cereal, muffins, bananas, yogurt, oat meal, juice and coffee. I did see ice machine in a walkway along with washer and dryer. They do allow pets to stay. McDonald’s is right in front of the hotel along with Ruby Tuesday’s restaurant. Interstate 75 S entrance was very close to hotel for easy access to interstate.
Keeping in mind that many hotels charge sometimes high fees for dogs and this one doesn't made up for the minor issues. It was clean enough for 1 night however could use a deep clean. Lots of dust and general wear but removable marks on walls and doors. Outside was similar with some construction hazards left out. Nice grassy area out back for dogs and they seem to put the dog people in the back which was nice bc I wasn't worried about the occasional back irritating non dog people. Staff was visible and friendly and the breakfast was sufficient for free. Pastries, serial, yogurt, and oatmeal as well as coffe and juice. Surrounding area has tons of restaurants and stores if you want something else or forgot something.
Lousy accomodations, worst wore out mattress we've ever experienced. Hurt our backs and management was rude and unapologetic. Lied about mattress being new.
Facilitydoesn't look anything like the photos they use.
Poor security. no cameras on building/parking lot. Our vehicle was vandalized overnight.
AVOID Red Roof and SKD Hotels!
I was very unsatisfied with my stay here and the quality of the room. The window was taped shut , and the headboard had wood glue very visible. The noise from other rooms was very disturbing. Definitely not worth the price, I will not book here again.
Positive: Bed was comfortable. Negative: Overall cleanliness - inside of toilet was dirty. Curtains were spotted and stained. The inside of the refrigerator was dirty. Towels were stained. Shower pressure/head was minimum. We have stayed here before and were pleased. Will not stay again. Negative: ""
This was a lovely hotel to stay at. Clean, great choices for breakfast, and friendly staff all around. Calhoun is also a quiet, small area, as someone who is from Florida, it was a nice change. Would stay here again in the future.
We stopped here on our way to TN! December 12th. My husband had made a reservation on Travelocity and made it for the wrong day! So we called and asked if they could honor it for the night as we were almost there! The lady who answered said No, I wo

Absolutely loved visiting. Staff was super knowledgeable. Restrooms available and a vending machine for drinks. Pets are allowed as long as leashes but NOT allowed inside buildings. Beautiful area. Also as a side note yearly passes are available (for
We stopped on our way to Elijay to get some tacos.
They make great tacos, authentic Mexican flavor and big portions.
Highly recommend if you are in town.
I stopped here for lunch on the way to Chattanooga. I always like mom n pop places and Yellow Jacket did not disappoint! The servers are kind, attentive, and friendly, and knew all of the locals who came in by name! The restaurant was clean.
