Red Lion Motel - Featured Reviews (47)
Absolutely disgusting. The room was falling apart. Bloodstains on the mattress. Mold in all the tile grout. Sickly sweet and musty smell. Booked room for my boyfriend and I, was grilled multiple times about not having pets or allowing visitors in room. Charged us for the 2 nights, we stayed in the room for 10 minutes before leaving for fear of bedbugs. Would Not give a refund. This place should be shut down.
It was not worth its cost. It was dusty all over, even the beds. The water from the sink and shower smelt and tasted like eggs or something dirty. i dont recommend this motel to anyone. Just poor quality and service.
OK I’ll be the first… When the NJORVP was still open this was the go-to motel after a long day of winter mx practice. The rates were right – very very cheap! And they would hold our room for us if we called ahead. We always got room #24, which was one of our bike numbers; an upstairs end room with glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling and a mirror over the bed. Sometimes we got a waterbed. Hey its that kind of place. You will need your flip flops in the shower… And unfortunately the walls are thin and you can hear the action in the next room through the walls (that’s why we always got an end unit since it was “one” quieter). But hey the price is right, it’s a shower and a solid night sleep in the middle of nowhere. And they were very accommodating to parking large moto haulers and trailers. I recommend this joint :)
We came up to the area to attend the chatsworth cranberry festival. Lets start with the good, I loved the location right on 206 close to a few stores and gas stations. It was located close to all the hiking and exploring spots I wanted to hit. The chinese place next door was great and the room was clean and had a nice flat screen with full cable. |Now the bad, the water is well water and kinda stinks like crap. You have to let it run. The sink didn't have any hot water coming out and the bathroom door didn't lock. We had very loud guests next door that im assuming were workers in the area for a job since they were up at 5:30 am each morning loading up their van. Its not the hotels fault on that i just wish they respected thebfaxtnit was a weekend and some ppl would've liked to sleep in.
The place was accommodating "until" I learned a few issues: *The water smells/tastes like septic; let alone "Rusty". *There's no where to sit outside. Also, "can not" loiter outside your room door. The WiFi reception inside of the rooms is "lousy"... ...my advice, find a different motel/hotel!. (Joseph)
The motel was old. Looked like it hadn't been updated since the 60s. There was WiFi, cable, and ac which was convenient though the cable isn't anything to brag about. The bathroom door couldn't be closed and a tile in the bathroom was broken. The price for one night was fair. $60 for two people.
It's an old motel but it does the job it is intended to do. It is set back off of 206 so you do not hear the noise. Included is a dorm size refrigerator and microwave. Well worth the cost!
Perfect for the night. Room had some unexpected amenities such as a fridge and microwave. Room was clean. Do not expect the world, just to get what you pay for.
