Well, I read the negative remarks, and they are true room dirty. We found hair in bed on the floor and dusty window sill .. when asked to get new room would not move us then gave us sheets to make the bed ourselves .. and said to talk to the manager when leaving. Just got there traveling. The last thing I want to do is deal with this .. so we asked the person in the morning when room service available to change the bed and clean since was dirty. They said they would .. Did they not!!!! So eneding up getting their spray to clean the windmill and windows , pictures that were so dirty. Then, when asked what happened, nobody is able to help at all.. so then the next day, finally, they came a swept. So then the checkout day did what the guy upfront said to speak to the manager. Did the manager come? Nope, she didn't even care. The same person came back and didn't even acknowledge that he talked to her. It's just ok giving you 15 off.. smh, they didn't even fix the situation. It should have been 15 dollars off per night, but the guy was cold and didn't care.. I guess since this must happen a lot, they used to it.. you'd think they would change or teach the cleaning service better.. maybe even hire a carpet cleaner to keep their old carpet. It gives a haunted hotel look.. The pool was great, and the hot tub still looks like it needs to have work done. The food is decent enough. And the people I'm the complimentary breakfast nice. The bed is actually nice, but all the other neg will never come back here.. if you are going to stay, check the room first. There is not the cheapest hotel here, and def should be..

I’m writing this from my room at the Red Lion in Pocatello. Upon arrival it was so dark at check-in it was hard to see other parts of the room. The chandelier in the lobby must have been out of lightbulbs because they most definitely were not on. Check-in staff was nice enough. We were so exhausted from a long drive so once we got to our room all we wanted to do is veg, but to my (disgusted) surprise when I pulled back the sheets was a giant stain. We called the front desk to ask for more sheets. It took them quite awhile to bring them. Once they got here my husband and I were left to change the sheets ourselves and the fitted sheet was the wrong size. Moving on to the bathrooms… also disgusted. The photos should be self explanatory. Red Lion, you’ve definitely lost us as a customer. The only way to fix this issue is to use the ungodly amount of room rates you charge for this busted up hotel and make some seriously needed renovations. Refunding customers who have had a horrid experience like we currently are should be of utmost importance to you to improve your dying business. Doing this shows your customers you truly care. Comments like “thank you for the feedback” and “we’ll use this to improve” are meaningless when most of the comments demonstrate the same theme; uncleanliness, and clearly no resolution.

I’m a truck driver and often to sleep in a hotel but a good sleep was needed after a long drive staffs were somewhat good I booked through a 3rd party app 2 hours before my arrival to arrive to one of the staff saying I’m not in the system so I had to make another payment since I was tired but once I got to my room there was spottings on the linen and the blankets so I informed the front desk and they couldn’t switch rooms so all they did was hand me new linen to change it myself and they took the old ones with the blankets leaving us without blankets so we called again and they brought 2 blankets that were cold and very uncomfortable because of how bad they smell. Tip (if you ever book here bring an air refresher because the rooms smells too)

Older hotel that has been remodeled. Two story building with narrow,carpeted stairs the edges of which are not clearly marked. Stairs to 2d floor only--no elevators. Older guests might want to ask for a first floor room. Clean and comfortable rooms. Direct TV service. As with many hotels, maintenance can be a problem--one of two sinks in bathroom was slow draining and shower converter had a leak--both minor issues that reflect on maintenance. Great place for families with its indoor pool and exercise room. Good morning breakfast in large and spacious room.

I like the hotel, because of it’s friendly staff, fantastic pool and good breakfast. But here is an issue with hygiene. I assume lack of labor. Hairs in the bathroom, tiles around the pool not clean, etc. easy to fix , then five stars wouldn’t be far to reach.

Very nice clean and quiet room and by far the best price for a room in the area. Very dog friendly and a dog friendly price a fraction of the other hotels nearby and lots of places to walk Fido too. Room has hardwood floor not the typical stinky carpet and again it’s dog friendly A cheerful and friendly young woman checked us in and also Update We stayed here a second time and breakfast was good we must have come too late last time. They saw we were a repeat customer and jumped through hoops to make us feel at home. Our stay was very enjoyable we will recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay here again

Don't stay here!! There are much better hotels in the area. My door was left wide open when I was at work. I have no idea who was in my room and what was done. I travel for work and decided to try this place out. Don't do it. They need to shut this hotel down or completely remodel it.

Room was not clean although the bedding was clean so I stayed in the room. Bathroom light bulbs were out, tub/shower faucet was not working properly, towels were musty. Wear white socks after my shower, they were black on the bottom. I went to the front desk asked to have my room swept, mopped while I was out for the day on business. Front desk assured me it would be taken care of. Came back at 6:30PM and nothing had been done. I went to the front office and asked that it been done. They did come in swept and mopped the floor, left clean towels but did not refill coffee and creamer even though I left a note. I come to Pocatello regularly for business and I will never stay here again. It is sad it is obvious at one time this was a very nice hotel.
