Popped in to apres ski. Had two warm drinks - double black diamond and an Irish coffee and chicken nachos with my wife. We enjoyed it and location was right in the center of Vail village. Definitely village prices but to be expected based on location. Server was very friendly.
The food at the Red Lion was average at best and overpriced. However, our waiter was very kind and service oriented. I think that the pricing of the meals needs to be adjusted or the quality of certain items needs to be improved. I understand we are in Vail, but back home a similar quality meal would be maybe 1/3 of the price. Not a great value for the money.
The food is great and the diversified staff is welcoming. I love they allow those from other countries to come and work there for the American experience. They really bring a freshness of culture to the area. I speak on the restaurant portón.
Great, low-lit chill vibe American style bar/restaurant. Wings were cooked to perfection. Beware! The nuclear fusion wing sauce is actually very spicy, something I didn’t expect this far in the mountains. Staff was 10/10
Just went to the cafe and like all other places in the village, food was expensive. Unfortunately unlike most of the others we've been to, food quality wasn't great. Got chicken tender meal for our daughter and they we're literally the same dinosaur nuggets we buy at home warmed up. We also got an order of the "World Famous" nachos, and it was like a puzzle eating them as they were cooked on a skillet and about 4" high, so every time you tried to get a chip there was an avalanche of chips and toppings that tumbled onto the table. Perhaps rebrand to "Avalanche Nachos" and could try and use it for marketing. Also layers weren't mixed at all so was chips, layer of chicken, 1/4" thick layer of cheese, and then toppings so have to literally rip it apart only added to the constant flow of chips and toppings off the skillet and onto the table. If you're looking for something quick and central, Red Lion Cafe fits the bill, otherwsie recommend spending just a little more and going somewhere else in the village
Portion sizes are huge! Love this place, bbq is great and nachos are excellent. Clearly a local favorite. Had a great time, especially with its location at the base of the lift. Also the hot cocktails were heavenly!
Normally I don’t write reviews, but had too after our last experience. Ordered two burritos that had virtually no meat, was all rice and beans, barely any sauce. 42 bucks for two burritos was insane in the first place, but to be filled with the cheapest ingredients is not right. Kids meal was over 20 bucks and included Kraft mac and cheese. If the Redx Lion doesn’t want to take pride in the food they shouldn’t charge as much as they do. Could have gone to Russell’s for almost the same price. Maybe that’s the reason why it was half empty while everywhere else was packed. Our server Gavin was really good, can’t complain about the service.
The restaurant leaves something to desire our food came out before our drinks our waiter checked on us all of twice during our meal once was to see how everything was doing and are you done? the time for the check. I can forgive a lot of things but when traveling with children and the kids drinks finally come after our food was in front of us was something I cannot excuse or explain. The restaurant wasn’t super busy. We didn’t have to wait for a table. The service is something I cannot forget or forgive.
Great dinner! We came up with another family and our four kids (ages 15-8) sat separately from us. The team including Chloe and a Chris did an outstanding job in serving our familyâs. Super impressed with this restaurant. Excellent service, food, a

Beautiful dog park. I stopped on my travels from the West Coast to the Midwest. Not far off the freeway and very friendly locals. Beautiful spot in the valley.
I was in Vail for a work trip with several colleagues and on a day when a few of us went skiing, we all decided to meet here for lunch during the day. The location and atmosphere is amazing, with great views of the mountains. The food was really good
Staying in vail was not in our initial plan on our road trip to Colorado but we had one day extra and we decided to stay in vail. Iâm so glad we were there. This place was one of the best highlights of our 2 week trip. This property is gorgeous, th
Vail is huge, has awesome slopes, and stunning scenery. Coming from the east coast, it was absolutely jaw dropping when we first made it to the top. Definitely agree with everyone else that it's one of the most scenic resorts in Colorado.
Great Italian restaurant in Vail. Highly recommend reservations, although one can arrive early and get to snag a seat at the bar (which often has people eating there). They have a nice wine selection, which because itâs Colorado, you can take your
