January 2022: One of our few regrets on Dothan trips.
Service was mediocre. Food fell below that mark. It was all just ok. Fried green beans, the BF's pizza. All just basic off brand freezer section options that didn't taste like the price suggested. Tiny potions and plain.
We left, did our shopping and then stopped in a favorite place to grab some drinks and apps to make up for being hungry.
Ordered Garlic Bread and the BBQ Chicken Pizza. I was not overly impressed. The garlic bread was the most disappointing. Very small portion for the price, not a lot of garlic flavor. The white sauce that came with it helped but very disappointing.
The pizza was ok. The BBQ sauce was too sweet for my tastes, but other May like sweeter sauce. The crust was relatively bland.
Service was good though.
Overall, would not go back.
Our server Connor was on his A-game. Very knowledgeable, polite, and very friendly. He made our first time at The Red Elephant awesome! Ask for him if you're dining in! The Southwest Chicken Wrap was awesome. And the salmon rice bowl was off the chart!
Red Elephant is a nostalgic place for me, I went a lot as a kid before my location back home closed down. I was excited when I moved to Dothan and saw it was still around. Their cheeseburgers and fries, as basic of a meal that it probably is, just always hits the spot for me. I’ve become somewhat of a regular and they always know to get me extra ranch for the side :)
I’ve had the pizza and it’s fair. The chicken griller is really good. Today the chicken was a bit tough but still good. Salads are always good
The pizza just plain sucked. Me and my girlfriend both agreed that it tasted just like a frozen pizza. We’ve actually had frozen pizza that was better. Who ever made the pizza just didn’t care at all. They shoveled on a crazy amount of sauce that was literally overflowing off the sides of the crust. 26 dollars for the shipwreck pizza and they hardly sparred a pinch of toppings. Half the pizza had no pineapple and the other half had no pepperoni. So for 26 bucks we basically got a pizza that was 1/3 a plain cheese pizza.
Would never come back
Waited to be seated longer than I feel like we should have bc there were only 2 groups of people already seated when we got there. When we went to order, what I wanted "they no longer had", I mean cross it off the menu or something. Then we waited 45 minutes for our food. I really just wanted to pay for the drinks at that point. The only reason they even get 3 stars is bc they have been really good past times we've been there. The wrap I ended up setting with was bland and the fries tasted like grease so totally not worth the wait! Everyone else seemed to like what they got though
how you gonna charge somebody 2 extra dollars for all flats wings so now 20$wings with no sides

This was our first time here and the service and atmosphere were perfect. You can tell the employees care about you, always asking how things are and if we needed anything. Pizza, wings, calamari and garlic knots were delicious. Fresh ingredients! Yu

I visit the Thirsty Pig on Friday evenings when they have live music!
Itâs such a great time and they are family friendly for all ages!
They also have trivia night during the weekdays.
I take my son every year for his birthday and a couple more times with the family throughout the year! Never gets old and is so unbelievably fun! My son is only 3, and no matter the age, this place is where they can go to get ALOT of energy out and j
Always a pleasure to go and we have an ADA family member. Like the updated changes to the place with the bar up top now and the t-shirt sales not blocking the entry/exit!
This is without a doubt the friendliest restaurant in all our travels. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of from drinks to dessert!
This is now our favorite when we travel through the area.
Thank you to the staff
I saw a sign that said founded in 86, and thatâs the last time any update was made. This place is a complete dive, and I mean that in the best sense.
The interior isnât luxurious or modern. The menu is very limited, but Iâve eaten at hawker ce
The Sugar Shack was great yesterday! My husband had 3 piece fried fish and I had a fried pork chop sandwich. The music, drinks, customer service and vibes were awesome. Only minor complaint was the the lettuce wasnât chopped well in the salad. Also
In my opinion the best establishments, are discovered by word of mouth and everyone I asked in Dothan told me to check out this restaurant.
The food is served cafeteria style and you can choose the classic southern plate of one meat with three sides
