I've been a member for over 10 years. The ownership is top notch. The quality of there services winter and summer is unmatched on the big pond. Very family friendly and the amenities they offer make lake life possible for any average family. They treat you like family. I love the red door resort.

Walked in and loved it! Beautiful! So awesomely cool inside with AC. Love how they welcomed us to the camp. I greatly appreciate keeping in touch with us via text message. What would have made this a full 5 stars would be if the bed wasn't so saggy in the middle and squeaky. Also, the toilet was loose and rocky.

Came up for ice fishing and had a great time! Booked one of their motel units the second night and it was very comfortable, just what we needed. Staff was friendly and made sure everyone was safe on the ice by constantly checking conditions and marking unsafe areas. Update - Jan-2024 Came up again and had another great stay. Rooms had recently been renovated and were great. Owner came out and checked on us out of the ice and staff made sure we avoided some areas with sketchy ice. Best of all, you can walk out 100 yards and be on some really great walleye fishing. We caught plenty of fish to keep 4 guys busy and all were great sized (18-24 in). It was an amazing value and we will be back next year.

The King sized bed was amazingly comfortable!! Really nice pillow and bedding ,too! The room was good sized with plenty of drawer space. The hotel was very clean, too. It was quiet and the other guests were all very friendly. Great value for the price!

Don’t think twice about passing on the opportunity to stay here! This place is peaceful and safe. Also, James, one of the owners of the Red Door basically rescued us when our car broke down and helped us find a local mechanic to fix our car in a timely manner. A true act of “Minnesota Nice”! We were thankful to be in good hands and can’t wait to be back soon! The property is family friendly with a basketball court and playground. It also has a dock to fish off and plenty of boat slips. They also have grills and fire pits for bonfires. The town itself has a movie theater near the casino, as well as two state parks. Kathio State Park has an observation tower which makes for great sunset views and Father Hennepin State Park has white deer! For those unfamiliar with the lake, a larger boat is needed to cross the lake. Smaller jon boats can only be used close to shore. Make sure to try the Razz Melt sandwich from JJ’s Bird’s Nest and taco salad or Reuben sandwich from Bayview.

Stayed there this weekend fishing Smallies,nice,clean,& easy to work with! Great location. We will be back.

This was a delightful place to stay for the weekend. We had an end cabin with views of the lake. It was a quiet campground, clean cabin. Good fire ring area for a campfire.

Really disappointed with the Red Door Resort. The carpeting and furniture were filthy. Check in was the only time the office was open, otherwise the doors were locked. We will not be going back. Needs a lot of TLC.|
