Red Carpet Inn - Hotel in Irvington - 100 Union Ave, USA

My stay at this hotel was terrible, mainly because of the receptionist, especially a girl who was really rude. When I arrived at 11 am with lots of bags, I asked if I could leave my 1 bag to them for just a few minutes so I could grab some food nearby. Instead of being helpful, she just laughed and said no.I ended up waiting in the lobby for almost four hours, and then they made me wait outside even though I'd already paid for my room. They wouldn't even let me use the restroom, which was really mean, especially since i was waiting for too long and it was cold outside. Don't stay here unless you want to be treated badly. The girl receptionist don’t deserve to be working as a receptionist this hotel will lost a lot of customers because of her.

The receptionist is rude and cannot be understood at all. 👎🏻 The room had flukes, the sofa smelled like dog poop. In the early morning he couldn't sleep because some tenants fight in the hallways, shout and no one says anything to them! Really disappointing!🫠

Decided to stay here because of a flight cancellation as there weren’t any other hotels available. It being my first time in New Jersey, I had no idea where to look for a hotel except near the airport. This was the only one that had availability. I can see why. It’s decent if you’re looking for somewhere to lay your head for the night. But after seeing where it’s located and how it’s poorly kept on the inside and little critters crawling around. I personally wouldn’t stay here again.

Had to stay here 1 night because of a flight cancellation and most hotels were full. Stayed in a double room with boyfriend. It is fine when you need something in a pinch. The room was gigantic, the bed was comfortable, and the shower did not drain very fast (must have been clogged). The room smelled heavily of cheap cleaning product. They say there is wifi but...I couldn't get a good connection in the room I stayed in (#201). Front desk has bullet proof glass so the neighborhood is not the best but...we didn't need to go outside. Breakfast is free but what you would expect (cereal/one waffle maker/a coffee machine/pastries). They have a free airport shuttle to the Newark Airport.

The rooms more large and the beds were comfortable. I had to have my room key changed three times until they realized that the batteries were dead on the mechanism on the door. The front desk staff was very nice and friendly.

The service was average and smoke- free rooms are available which is great for children. There are vending machines with pretty good snacks. There are limited channels available on TV, but the bathroom is pretty nice and there is a space where you can hang your items on racks. The price, I would say is a little too expensive. We paid $85 for an overnight stay.

Rented a room there and I walked in, the carpet was coming undone. There were ants in the bathroom and the bedding was dirty. I removed the sheets and there was blood spot on one side of the fitted sheets. I was so disgusted with everything. Waste of my $130. Trust and believe if I wasn't in a rough situation I would of left but never again will I go there. Employees have a very nasty attitude when you ask questions also. If I am spending my hard earned money, I expect better services

The neighbourhood seems bad, it's rundown, but if u walk nearby it you realize a lot if the people are nice and they speak and smile...the front desk staff wasn't very personable and friendly but they were decent and good enough. The room was big and clean for the most part...the bed is rer comfortable, but the mini fridge didn't work and when I checked to see if it was plugged​ up (which it was),behind the TV I found a big blue blob of something just sitting back behind the TV stand. It was quiet for the most part. Walls are pretty thin....it's before 8:30am and the housekeepers are already cleaning and vacuuming opening and slamming doors and talking loud and yelling outside my door while I'm trying to sleep. There are multiple doors with EXIT SIGNS yet u can only enter and exit Through the front which is inconvenient when you have luggage especially when the only way to get up and down to the room is to climb some steps...I don't care if there is only 7 of them everyone is not in shape for all of that. I was planning to stay longer because the price is good but I think I can find something a little better...overall a decent stay though. I would recommend if you are on a budget and if it's only for a night or two.
