Very beautiful place to go fishing or float around in a kayake.
Great camping area. The driveway is really narrow for backing in some of the bigger rigs, we watched several people struggle backing in without going into the grass or ditch across from their site.
Once backed in, the site was great, the campground quiet, sites spaced well away from each other and still close to the reservoir.
Peaceful. Especially in the evening. Or early morning when the fog is rolling in.
This is a place I fondly remember going to with my grandfather as a child. I'm not much of a fisherman anymore, so I can't speak as much to that, but there is parking very close at hand, as well as some picnic facilities.
The road down to the fishing area may be closed at some times of the year, so you may want to check ahead or call the local ranger station. The water level can vary greatly, depending on rainfall and the time of year (water levels are lower in the fall and winter).
This is conveniently located right next to the Red Bridge Campground if you're planning to camp as well.
Beautiful area . But you must be camping to use the area . Stopped to fish and got some body language that we shouldn't be there .
Nice place for kids and handicapped to fish. Redbridge camp ground is right beside it. So camp there and walk over with the kids. Beautiful scenery!!
Beautiful area. No luck fishing, but we weren't there very long at all.
