Built in 1929, the bandshell at Recreation Park in Long Beach, California is a historic landmark, which features Spanish Baroque style architecture & design.
Loved the new upgrade to the park. Tons of people but everyone was nice and respectful
Really fun, big park for kids!! Swings, playground sets for different ages. Free Parking
Cool Battle of the Bands venue. nice seating area with shaded grass area for watching the bands.
The event center was spacious, has bathrooms, kitchen area, and a stage with a patio area and plenty of room for all events including tables and chairs and security. The only thing it does not have is AIR CONDITIONING. This is a makor concern because a couple of fans are not enough to vent this huge facility. Especially when it ia humid and 100° degrees. Other than that the place is roomy and maintained.
I'm so lucky to live across the street. I have a German Shepherd that I walk everyday . The park maintenance cleans a lot to keep it looking good, plus an adorable maintenance guy says hi to us ever time he sees us. 👍
I really enjoyed todays visit to this Dinosaur Zone we found here…it’s a great place to bring your love ones to enjoy a beautiful day out at the park…entrance to park off 7th street and keep in mind its not gated so if you have little ones who love to wander around keep them close down hill the main traffic…also they do have tables and benches but no shade really so if you have your picnic blanket and folding chairs bring those along …playground is beautiful especially the tree house with two huge slides awnings aren’t big enough to cover large sections so kiddos are actually in the sun majority of time…come and check it out!
Its GR8, love Rec Park, been going there over 59 yrs
Lovely park-within-a-park with 1 and 2 mile circuit hikes and events multiple times throughout the month. Well used but not overcrowded, with a great nature center for young children. It has a great little gift shop with science-oriented wares. Lots
Didn't get to ride the swan since we didn't reserved online but had a nice walk around the lake and to our surprise was a beer and taco festival. Even though we didn't go in, just a nice music beat outside the fense was good enough haha.
A great place to take the kids. Well ran by lifeguards. I wish people would clean up after themselves because there are chicken bones in the water and candy wrappers in the sand.
Alamitos Park is one of the most beautiful, lesser known places in the LBC. There is typically plenty of parking on the street, but there's a paid lot as well. Photos are of Alamitos Park, a few of kayaking in the bay across the street, as well as Na
This park has a nice playground with swings for kids of all ages. What is unique is the swings have added places for parents to swing with children. My family enjoys playing soccer under the large trees which provide plenty of shade. There are youth
This gym is a great spot to train Muay Thai. I wouldnât want to train Muay Thai anywhere else in Long Beach, I love this gym. Itâs tiny but the size of the gym never affects the training and the coaches are masters of their craft. Iâve trained
I have been doing 9Rounds for three years and the last 8 months at the Spring St. location. The trainers are amazing. They encourage and push on a personal level. It is so great to receive that personal attention and it has helped me to see a lot of
This was my first time going to stretch lab. And I was met with a very friendly staff and partnered with an amazing therapist named Charles. He took his time to explain everything. Listen to my problem areas and targeted them all. Amazing place and a
