Real Tequila Bar and Restaurant - Mexican restaurant in Anacortes - 2302 Commercial Ave, USA

Came at around 4pm on a Friday. Got there before the rush, which was nice. Food was really good. I personally recommend the fajitas. They were so good. Came with rice and beans. Can choose from flour or corn tortillas. Came with a lot of meat! Rice and beans are above average for Mexican restaurants. The drinks were normal size and tasted good as well. The Paloma is a good choice. The server turned the day around and was good by the end of our stay. A lady came around and checked on us and was super friendly. It’s worth a try if you’re considering it!

Friendly staff, bright and clean. We ordered jalapeño margarita, super burrito with chicken, pork carnitas burrito, and churros. The margaritas were great and the burritos were okay.

I'm Mexican. I've eaten all these dishes for years. None of the dishes were what I knew from other places. Burritos look like enchiladas, and the tortilla soup missed many ingredients. Also, the cooking was very unfamiliar. Nevertheless that, the flavor was much better than in other places. The restaurant was clean, the staff was attentive, and they had various Mexican beers and sodas.

Clean atmosphere, friendly staff, food is hot and delicious. Rice is a little hard for my liking, but great taste. Decent prices. Check it out if you're visiting!

Today was my first time in Anacortes and this was the fine establishment I chose for my food needs. We ordered inside and took the food to go. Very fast and friendly service, I was accompanied by a fluent Spanish speaker. I mention this because after they ordered in Spanish, the server tried talking with me in Spanish. It was quite funny when I disappointed them with my lack of the language. They laughed and shrugged it off and continued to speak with me in English. I got the Real Tequila Burrito and it was quite large and tasty. My companion was very surprised when I finished the entire meal. If you've read this far, you should give this location a try.

Ok so I work in Anacortes and go by this place all the time and at lunch is always full so I thought I would try it especially after seeing so many good reviews. This was my experience. First the chips were pretty stale and hard the salsa is hotter than most but i like that slows me down from eating to many chips lol. I ordered chicken en mole as this is my judge dish for all Mexican restaurants lol ! The sauce it self was kinda grainy and the flavor was just bit off used to a more sweet chocolate type sauce . The chicken was hard to the bite and didn't want to come apart in my tortilla . The rice was kinda hard and dry . The beans were ok . There was no garnish like a bit of lettuce and tomatoe ,onions etc. My diet Pepsi was flat . Most people don't know but soda vendors will adjust your machine for free if you just ask. Over all was ok but I don't think I'd go out of my way to go back. In my humble opinion Agave up the street is way better. The staff was super friendly. I hate to judge a restaurant by one dish one time so maybe I'll go back and try again.

I came here to eat on my way home from a long road trip. I live in Friday Harbor, and my engine light came on, so I was getting my car checked out across the street from this restaurant before catching the ferry. I'm so glad I went over. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. I had chile relleno and shredded beef enchilada, I will be back.

Arrived around 2 pm. Very quiet. Service quick and polite. Ordered cheese mole enchiladas. Hot and flavorful. Mole has pronounced cinnamon flavor to it. Clean.
