I have been going to Ray's Aviation for over 5 years and have always received excellent service. Annual inspections (with or without owner assistance), major avionics installs, interior work, new engine and new prop installation and much more. His work is good. He gets things done when he says he will and his prices are reasonable. Ray and his staff are tops!
Ray's Aviation is located at Santa Paula Airport it is in. It is in a Old World War II Hangar located off of the main Runway. Ray's is where everybody in Ventura County goes to have any work done on their plane in terms of avionics since it is really the only avionics shop in Ventura County. Their prices are very reasonable. They are highly knowledgeable and have an excellent reputation. They have also been there for years and years. We have had other work done on are playing there and then very pleased with it and are now planning to have ADS-B done on the plane.
Charged double what was quoted for the simple job of wiring an altitude encoder. Definitely not a 6 hour job, even for a relative novice such as myself. Giving an extra star because Ray was friendly up until the point I questioned the invoice.
Ray has always been an up front and honest guy. You could do no better than Ray's Aviation. Very well qualified to care for your craft.
Loved everything about the place. Employee are awsome and very helpful. Food is phenomenal I had the onions and mushrooms no sauce extra mayo. I highly recommend it! Will be back.
Beautiful place to spend a Sunday afternoon.. 1st Sunday of the Month, the aviation museum is open and filled with plenty of fresh air, walking space, planes, and classic cars! Had a great time watching and flying the planes!
