Absolutely amazing trail. Not a hard hike and good for all ages, my family and I loved this trail and the scenery was gorgeous.
An absolute beauty is a Trail definitely not enough tree shade cover for a hot day as I was there for a 90° day? Lots of signage, great stroll along the creek.
I really enjoyed this trail and all the raw nature that is experienced on it. After the 1st 3rd of a mile, stay right and hike side by side with the creek. This is where the best hiking is, not the larger semi paved path which is best for bikes. Right after the short cement bridge, take an immediate right and follow the creek 😀

There are some really nice trails for mountain biking in this area. I cruised down the fence line trail and it was pretty epic. I would definitely recommend that only intermediate riders and above take that challenge.
Beautiful area! There are tons of different trails of all difficulties. Main trail was nice and wide, with a gradual easy slope for casual hikers. There are many other trails to offer a bit of a challenge. I'm from out of town, recommend going earlier in the morning if you want to avoid crowds. Parking lot was pretty empty at 8 am, and overflowing by the time I was done around noon.
Really love this trail and how it changes through the seasons. Very versatile, on any given day you will find hikers, bikers, cross country skiers, families, and runners. Wide trail for multiple use. If you travel far enough there are beautiful camping areas for backpackers. Multiple trails in other directions as well, there is always something new to explore and close enough to Missoula. The river that runs along the trail is just beautiful! Very well maintained as well.
This is a great place to ride. Make sure to download trail forks before so you have offline maps. I recommend riding down fence line! What a blast! Great views and we'll marked trails.
