It is a very rocky beach not good for families or day trips for tanning unless you're willing to sit on rocks. Not too much sand great to look in the rocks for sea critters though. If you just an adventurous person.
Pros *Bright street at night *Parking off the PCH, often crowded on the weekend *The Magnolia tree is gorgeous *A few other plants like bamboo (trimmed often, so sometimes there are broken pieces), succulants and bushes;would make an awesome garden along the way if the city encouraged vegetation growth *Stairs to the sand or many climb down other paths *Ocean waves are mild enough for beginner surfers, loud enough for pleasant crashing waves and often come in tight afternoon into the morning *Sandy enough for barefoot in some small sections, rocky enough for cool rock playtime that shifts as the waves push/pull *Please consider kindness to the few homeless people and everyone that roam up and down the street (walking by or sometimes camped below or in their car), many strangers are very nice here, people come to relax, walk their dogs, hula hoop, build sand castles, sunbath, watch the sunset, etc. Be respectful to all. *Porta Potties, though not the cleanest or nicest Cons *Rarely see a lifegaurd stationed in the tower *Some people blast music and smoke *Cops may or may not enforce the No Parking 10PM-5AM signs that are behind lifeguard station or park opposite with more traffic noise and less ocean wave sounds *Spacious compared to other places on the PCH, but not off the main road like Zuma Beach...traffic whizzes past continuously and shakes the car if you're in it. Less so for the further lanes, but especially so for the immediate lanes. *Bikers use the little bit of extra space in the parking lane to keep to the right of traffic, so be careful opening or leaving your door open *Some litter sometimes, but generally clean
Very nice beach. Parking available. Limited parking. Access to the beach. Has like a view area, accessible like for anyone on wheelchair. Beautiful view of the sunset.
Small beach strip between two rocky areas. It was pretty quiet even on one of the hottest days off the summer. Conveniently has a metered parking lot right next to it but no bathrooms. The beach does have quite a bit of small rocks which might be uncomfortable for young kids wanting to play in the tide.
Parking fills up quickly and it’s really hard make a left turn or turn around. Pretty sure stairs are required for beach access. They did have bathrooms. Lots of surfers
There are some spots that you could spend during the evening time. We were there for full moon. Feeling the ocean and the power of her waves with the reflection of the moon is a dreamy moment that i believe you want to paint in your mind.
You can sleep here even though it's posted not to. The street was lined with people staying overnight. Cars, RVs, everything. It's busy 24 hours with cars flying past or stopping. There are bathrooms. They're Port a John's and were not in good shape when I found them. See pics.
Visit my youtube channel/THUMPER RUSTY, for vids I've taken from around the country! *RV PARKING AVAILABLE!*

Beautiful coastal views and rock outcroppings and sea caves make this a spectacular spot to take photos especially at sunset. Also cool spot to relive some nostalgia from the Karate Kid movie.
Eagle Rock has a beautiful view and is a fun hike with a few routes to get to it. I hiked up from Penny Rd, and parked my car halfway between the trail access point and Topanga Canyon Rd. It was just under 2 miles to get to Eagle Rock, with about 1,0
Highly recommend- short (about an hour from beginning to end) but scenic and peaceful. The continuation after the first peak is the best part of the trail. Lovely brush to walk through until you reach the last plateau. Take your friends, family or c
Highly recommend for anyone that is not hauling any chairs or coolers. Ok if you plan a small picnic with blanket, umbrella, and a few sandwiches and drinks. Kids and pets should be able to handle the hike down and back up, just make sure you have th
Customer service was the best . The staff made sure we were comfortable and checked on us regularly. The view of the beach is so relaxing. Food was better than ever .
It was very very clean. you can find garbage cans to dispose of your garbage. There is a lifeguard tower. The view is spectacular, you can even see an island across if the sky is clear. There is a little road that brings you to a parking but you have
Very limited parking and not very good if your car is lowered. We parked a little ways before the entrance and walked the rest of the way. Breathtaking views though.
It's great, please don't come here. Would much prefer to keep it to myself ;) Lengthy walk down steep stairs, typically big surf. Keep an eye on the tide, if you're there for long enough your towels can be in danger!
Nice walk up from the PCH. Not an intense hike, but great for an early morning walk. Many neighbors walking dogs. Lots of deer so mountain lion sightings have been seen in the area. Fairly quiet.
Glad we picked here for a late lunch, they have a relatively fast turn over rate, were able to find parking and a table on their patio overlooking the ocean. Foodâs fantastic! Tried the fried mixed sea food and steamed mussels. Both great! Fresh se
